Used my new pack recently on a hiking tour in the Alps. Great pack -plenty of well-protected room for my photo gear (2 cameras, long lenses, batteries, SD cards) and a separate compartment for extra clothing layers, snack, H2O bottle, and camera manual & trail maps. Very comfortable and not too bulky when traveling in cable cars, etc. Only design improvement I would recommend would be to add outside mesh water bottle pockets. Very well designed pack ! Highly recommended !

This item is working out great for me. Only want I would have for it would be a water bottle mesh holder on the sides for the long day trips/hikes.

I am using this back pack for transporting my gear. Since I don't have a lot of it it's ok but who does have a lot different lens won't be interested in such investment.

I purchased this due to the nice offer it looked like. And it was a good offer, but the product picture did cheat me, it's not possible to have all this equipment in the bag, unless you are using small cameras. I use 5D and some pro lenses and then I very quickly fill out the bag. But the quality is the known Lowepro, nothing say there. But as a product for sale due to the picture I can give it only 3 stars.

I needed a bag that was big enough to carry my DSLR, lenses, and some peripheral gear when I am out hiking the woods. This bag not only does that but I can strap my tripod on to it too. WHAT A BAG! I researched bags for a few months and this one kept making it to the top of my list. I am glad I finally got it.

It carries my normal compliment of bodies, lens & accessories with a little more room if I need it.

I just outgrew my 200 AW Slingshot, although it generally holds what I need for a single day out. The Mini Trekker allows me to keep most of my important gear in one place at home, well protected. Then I use it for travel, safely transporting in one bag that which I won't include in checked luggage. That's a body or two and a half-dozens lenses - with room for a flash, a P&S, and my small Pentax binos. And a bagel. I still bring the Slingshot for the day out or away from the car, but I cannot find enough good things to say about the Mini Trekker.

Well made and thought out. I will use it for storage of camera equipment and for jaunts into the high desert for landscape shooting. It does not have a laptop slot. It is one of the top backpack models before that became a "must have" but I'm not concerned with that, the laptop stays in the car for use in the motel room.

I bought this bag on a whim when it was on sale. I was pleasantly surprised by it's good construction and thoughtful design elements. Most bags in this size range claim to allow you to carry two cameras and a full array of lenses and accessories. In reality, they usually are better suited to one body with a bunch of peripherals or two with very few. This bag handles both very well. My only complaint is that it is just not quite deep enough. A nicer bag like this should be able to comfortably hold a body with a battery grip installed. It's a tight, uncomfortable squeeze with this one. This is not a show stopper, though, and its strengths far outweigh its weaknesses.

I bought this pack for my D700. Love it due to smaller size and enough room for a few lenses and a charger

Seattle marathon observation was my first adventure with it. I walked downtown three days with backpack on weighting 23 lb. Due to its detail in construction and comfort points I never got tired due to weight. This backpack is the right size for maneuvering in large crowds and in-various public transportation methods airplanes, buses, monorail. It stored easily under airplane seat with monopod. I carried D200, D300 18-200 mm & 80-400 mm lens with SB 800 flash and misc items. When you need to carry more than one camera this is the one to do the job in comfort.

The Mini Trekker actually holds a fair amount of equipment securely and safely. It has the world renowned Lowepro quality. I have had other Lowepro bags and like all before it this backpack truly lives up to the Lowepro name. It accommodated my medium format equipment (body, prism finder, film back, 2 lenses - 80mm and 120mm) half a dozen filters and has room left for my digital camera with a builtin 35-420mm zoom lens. I like the tripod leg support that extends downward; that way the tripod does not ride too high and look silly.

I am an outdoor amateur photographer and have loved this backpack! It's roomy and is able to store everything I need, plus it's comfortable to carry on my back. I also got this backpack because it is has straps and a fold-out bottom pocket to hold my tripod. I am very satisfied with this backpack.

I can finally store my equipment in a secure, compact, and comfortable backpack. I went on a six mile round trip hike and the pack felt very good. There were no parts poking me in the back as with my other backpack. Getting to my camera was quick and easy.

I'm vary happy with this bag. It holds all my stuff with a little room to grow. The only thing is the straps and back pad are not really enough for all day hiking and serious packing into the wilderness. but for general hauling around in the city or car it is fine.

I am very pleased. Took some time to figure out how I wanted to place things but now I am happy. I found a place for all my gear. So far, I have found no problems. The construction promises years of service and I am satisfied that my gear is well protected. I have been using Lowepro products for several years(this replaces 2 smaller bags)and this bag looks to continue the superior quality I have come to expect.

Got this bag not too long ago and so far I love it. It fits my 50D, 17-40, 50, 100-400, 24-70, Flash and TTL extension cable, hoods, and an extra body, if attached to the 24-70. The interior pockets are great in organizing your filters, flash filters, batteries, accessories, etc... The outside pocket is big and fits a SMALL laptop like a 12" or maybe 13" laptop, if careful. Otherwise it fits a small jacket or other gear... Has one other small pocket next to the tripod/monopod pouch which was an afterthought, but hey, it's there... When wearing it, I'm 5'6" and it feels small but the amount of gear it holds begs to differ with that assessment. Many bags dont carry this much and charges more! The AW cover barely wraps around the entire bag completely so dont expect it to work flawlessly in the amazon or anything, but if your using it to carry your stuff around and being smart with your gear, then you should be fine. Remember, it is only water resistant, not water proof. While many will gripe that it doesn't have this or that, for what it is, what it's meant to be, and how it delivers on its purpose, to store and protect your gear while traveling or hiking, it does a great job. If you need anything bigger or stronger, get a pelican case.

I carry a full frame DSLR, 100-400, 70-200, 24-70 and 100macro lenses, flash, battery, filters, cleaning stuff. All fits pretty well, but maxed out. The outer pockets on the back are OK for a few thin things, but don't quite work for me. Straps and belt are adequate for the size, good balance and comfort. Best of all, gear is well protected.

This bag for the price is great. It hold many lenses ( at least 5) and two camera bodys w/ lesnses. Has tons of extra compartments. It is difficult to access equipment in a hurry but that is beause the zippers are made with cover flap because its very water resistent.
