I was impressed with how padded this was.

Meets or exceeds all expectations. Sturdy, excellent protection of lenses.

I bought this case for my Canon 70-200mm 2.8L lens and it fits perfectly. With the lens collar attached, it fits great without wiggle room but not too snug. It's just what I needed.

Bought this to provide some protection for my Canon EF 70-200 F4.0L lens. Great, compact case, provides excellent protection and works well with other LowePro items. Next purchase is a LowePro Toploader AW 75!

Don't know what I was expecting, but this is "just OK". It seems well built, and its got good padding, but it came without the cinch straps that help hold on the sliplock attachments. Bought it to store and carry my 70-200 f2.8L IS and it fits a little snug with the hood reversed. Doesn't fit well on my Magnum AW bag.

Be sure the lens you are buying doesn't come with its own case. [...]

This case allows me to protect my 75-300mm lens while carrying internally in my Tamrac Expedition Backpack OR externally should I so decide with close to equal protection.

I bought this for a Nikon 80-400mm. I have been a fan of LowePro cases for almost 30 years and always look to them first when I need something new. I've never been disappointed. The LowePro offers much better protection than the case that came with the lens AND it can be attached to other LowePro cases when I need to bring this lens. While the case is a really nice fit for this lens, be aware that that is with the tripod collar REMOVED (it won't fit with the collar on). It is a little inconvenient but, for me, a nice solid fit for the lens is preferable to something bigger (read: sloppy/loose). There is enough spare room (length) in the case to put the collar in with (just not "on") the lens.

Acquired for use with Nikkor 70-300 VR lens. No fault of the case, but it's larger than it needs to be. As a result, when hung on a LowePro belt, it becomes more bulky than it has to be.

Just as described. Absolutely great way to carry a medium tele lens.

A convenient add-on padded case for a lens up to an 80-200mm f/2.8, a 35-350mm or a 70-300mm (with hood).
