Questions & Answers

Shopper : Will a D300s with 18-300 lens attached fit in the Lowepro Pro 70 AW Top Loader okay? I don't mind a snug fit as long as it's not tight.BILL R : I purchased, but later returned the bag. We were taking a european trip and later was going backpacking. However, the bag is too bulky to carry as a front pack. I bought a sling bag as an alternate.MARK F : Your d300 will fit no problem. I just measured the inside of my bag and the inner height is about 7.5 to 8 inches. (remember this includes your camera body) I'm not sure if your specific lens will fit, but if you measure it you should get a good idea. To give you some reference my D7000 with tamron 28-75 or sigma 10-20 fit perfectly fine. Good luck in your search.ROBERT C : I have a 75 and a 70. The 70 is 8 1/2 long inside. The 75 is 10 3/4 Long inside and has a bottom that can be adjusted. I have 7D in the 75 and SXI in the 70. The bags are the best I have ever owned and I have tried a lot. That's the best I can tell you since I don't have a 18-300 lens. I would go with the 75.FREDERICK B : I use it for a D300 with battery grip and 18-200 and its a tight and secure fit.Lens cap needs to be reversed and often "catches" when pulling it out. SB600 strobe fits in side pocket well.GEORGE B : I think that would be a tight fit.
Shopper : Does this bag have a spot for a telephoto lens?MICHAEL R : This bag will hold my camera body with a Canon 24-105L attached, but doesn't quite fit with the Canon 70-200L. No extra lenses can fit in the bag with the camera/lens.GERALDO M : No it does notGARY M : Sorry it does not.CONNIE R : No additional storage for a telephoto lens. I have a canon 60D with a canon 24-70 lens attached. Fits perfect.MANUEL A : The bag will hold a camera with lens attached limited to a lens length of about 5" to 5-1/2" long. I use a Lowepro lens case attached to the side of the bag for any longer lens.JOSEPH D : If the lens is under 9" in length. Carry a Nikon D600 with a 24-70 mm lens in this bag and it is a perfect fit. The bag is easy to access and provides above average protection from the elements and general banging around.BRAULIO G : I use it for my Nikon D800 with the battery pack and a 28-200 lens and it fits tighly. My guess is that it depends on how big is your camera but I really doubt that an average camera witha lens will leave space for anything more. ANNE TIFFEN T : Not in addition to the one lens on the camera, no, at least not for me. I can carry my D4 with the Nikon 28-300 attached (lens hood won't fit though) but no additional lens.MARIANNA S : No, there's no dedicated area for a telephoto lens, and the bag is probably not deep enough to accommodate a camera body with a telephoto attached. However, there is a SlipLock loop on one side of the case that would hold one of Lowepro's lens cases.
MARIANNA S : There is a short, adjustable strap across the same side as the SlipLock loop, just beneath that loop, that doesn't seem to have an obvious function. Does anyone know what it is for?ROBERT S : it's a stabilizer strap for the larger slip-lock attachments such as larger lens cases etc. it helps keep them from flopping around.RANDAL P : I believe it is to go around any attachments... The SlipLock anchors the back, and the strap circles the front to provide extra security... That being said, one of my biggest disappointments with this purchase was the VERY minimal instructions provided! This bag has straps, D-rings, and sewn loops all over the place - but the "instructions" do a very poor job of telling you how to get the most out of your purchase...GARY M : the possibilities are endless!!!I use it for my small travel tripod. You want to slide one of the tripod legs though the web belt that's attached to the pac just above that strap, then use the adjustable around all three legs of the tripod. You can also cinch down a lightweight jacket or sweatshirt. It's like having a third hand...THE LIST GOES ON BUT THOSE ARE THE MAIN THING I USE IT FOR ;0 Hope I was a help 2UROBERT C : I have wondered about that also, if you find out let me know tooMARIANNA S : Thanks, Stephen. That's what I suspected, but wondered if I was missing something subtle.STEPHEN C : The SlipLock loop provides a good attatchment point but it doesn't stop the item being attached from moving. The loop can hold an attatchment tight against the main bag and prevents it swinging or moving around. I have a lens bag that I attatchment in this way, if I only use the slip lock the lens bag moves around a lot.

Suits the purpose

Great for excursions that do not require toting lunch, water and rain suit in addition to camera gear. Except for a tripod, everything needed for my usual landscape photography fits, along with the lens cleaning kit and a pad & pencil. The Slip-Lock attachment points allow for adding a filter case and a utility case to be removed and used as a small purse.

Great Camera Holster

This is a great fit for a D90, with a bit of extra room if you decide to add the battery pack handle to the base. I use this to ski, bike and hike, with a waist belt added to the D-rings at the bottom of the bag. Awesome. Swing it around from the back or side and the camera is very easy and quick to get to. The top can be secured with just the buckle or the zippers for added security. The pockets hold numerous extras, filters, etc. without adding to the bulk.

The Lowepro Toploader Pro AW 70 is constructed for incredibly fast access. It starts with a contoured, asymmetrical shape that follows the lines of a camera to provide a snug, protective fit. It goes from there to help the photographer in every possible way. It is designed to be the ideal bag for a very specific photographer - one who's in the action.
