"Device Storage Corrupted"
Constantly sends warning that device storage is corrupted. I'm on my third sd card now, same problem. As soon as it hits about 32GB of stored video, "corrupted". First on a 256 sd card, now on my second 128 sd card. Also, this 2K doorbell uses 4 times as much sd space as my 4K driveway cam does.
Something is not right. Not happy.
Also goes offline randomly.

It's nice but constantly looses
It's nice but constantly looses connection. I have to reconnect it on a monthly basis. My other Lorex cameras don't have that issue.

The advertised features of the
The advertised features of the Lorex 2K wired video doorbell would have been a great configuration compared to most other brands. Installation was straightforward and the kit has parts to cover a variety of mounting situations. Unfortunately the Lorex Classic application software performs very poorly and has a terrible user interface. It even crashed during the basic setup sequence. Typical response times to connect to real-time video or playback of recorded images is very slow, making it almost unusable for answering a visitor before they give up and leave. Often the application initially displays "Uh Oh something went wrong" and prompts you to tap a retry button, leading to multiple failures before eventually producing a result. Mechanical chime actuation was a significant selling point, but it functions intermittently, often requiring two button pushes and then ceasing to respond until after a long delay. For the price point, the unit should at least properly replicate the function of a simple momentary contact switch, even if the video fails. The custom quick message recording function always causes the application to crash with a message that actually displays "Lorex Classic closed because this app has a bug. " If there's a known bug, why memorialize it with a message instead of releasing a functional application? Android OS gives warnings about excessive crashes of the application and recommends removal. Problems occur even under ideal unloaded high-speed Wi-Fi connections on both 2. 4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. The same problems occur whether operating from wired a. c. input or from a separate verified d. c. supply connected by the supplied microUSB cable. When it works, the WDR video quality is good and audio is usable. Nightlight and siren features are a nice extra. The unit gets very warm, which raises a concern for longevity. There's no indication Lorex intends to remedy its acknowledged defective software for this product. I regret the purchase and recommend not ordering this product until there is clear evidence that Lorex has cured its design defects and poor application software integration.

Affordable doorbell cam without subscription fees.
Overall I like it. It's an affordable doorbell camera without subscription fees that works with older mechanical chimes. Make sure you check that your transformer is at least 16v, but it's easy to upgrade if it's not.
Good:
1. Wired doorbell that works with my old mechanical chime.
2. Supports big SD card so I don't have to pay for Cloud subscription.
3. Easy install if you have a flat surface (but I had lap siding).
4. Does great detecting people near the door and getting good video.
5. The app is good, but can't always connect.
Challenges:
1. I have lap siding and there is no mounting bracket for that. I also wanted it angled down a little and to the side toward the driveway. They provide two angle brackets but you can't use both. Fortunately, I have the skills to design and 3D print a custom mounting block to fit my needs.
2. With a brand new Sandisk high speed card, it would randomly tell me the storage was corrupt, but mostly recorded fine. I re-formatted the card in my laptop and so far haven't had that problem again.
3. The app occasionally has a problem connecting for Live View even though my phone has a great WiFI connection and I'm close to the router and doorbell. Maybe the WiFi receiver in the doorbell isn't the greatest?
4. While it's great at recording people near the door, it does not detect someone walking through the yard or vehicles driving by so don't expect it to be an overall security camera. I don't know what the range is and I have it set to max sensitivity.

No two way talk and erratic performance
Doorbell camera ( 2k wired/wifi) will not two way talk and has very erratic performance at best.
I have replaced my router with the latest mesh system to help and it still has problems. I also purchased a new nvr just to use this doorbell I have over $700 into this doorbell and it is horrible !! I could have bought a blink and subscription for the next 10 years and been ahead cost wise
Soooo disappointing and costly mistake in going this route !!

Had received a defective phoenix
Had received a defective phoenix connector for the doorbell chime connection. Had to spend hours with customer service to get a replacement only to receive another defective connector. Spent more time with customer service and asked for overnight delivery because I was going on vacation. They refused. I ended up ordering the defective part on Amazon and it took me five minutes to install. Really disappointed in the urgency of customer service. That being said the product works pretty well.

First 2k wired camera defective out of box
Doorbell only works w connected to usb port for id/ pw set up , w hooked up to brand new doorbell transformer nothing , reset appropriately 10 x then gave Lorex tech support / return n a call they made me go to tech support first , I was on w them for an hour going back n forth about take pictures of transformer label, take pictures of id on doorbell microscopic label, take a picture of voltage hooked up to doorbell , then forward them back , then they can't read them , too small , keep in mind I've only ordered one x ever from them , they had all my info already and I was willing to send it back first , , didn't even get the full RA number was going to call back or email me , I'm thinking if I don't get a new device that works I'm sending back all of it , I'm not a fan of over seas support either . Keeping my fingers crossed for good luck .

Product Failed Before Two Years, Terrible CS
Purchased in June 2024, and it's obvious why this product only comes with a one?year warranty-it didn't even survive two years before moisture leaked into the lens and completely ruined the video quality. The camera is now useless. Customer support was equally bad: no accountability, no discount on a replacement, and they couldn't even be bothered to waive the $10 shipping fee. Overall, a cheaply made product backed by unhelpful customer service.

Replacement doorbell
I love my Lorex system, including the Video Doorbell. But I have to say that this doorbell was a replacement after my 1st doorbell camera had moisture on the inside of the lens. Because it was out of warranty, my only option was to replace it.
Because I have an 8 camera system that has worked well for nearly 6 years, I just had to go back to what I had.
Overall Lorex has great products, was just disappointed that the doorbell was not better designed to prevent moisture from getting on the inside of the lens.

Clear picture. Good app. That's about it.
Picture is crystal clear and the app for the most part is very easy to use. But that's about all that I like so far. I didn't realize that this doorbell does not have 24/7 continuous recording when I bought it. I just kind of assumed that since it had a SD Card slot, the option for continuous recording was available. I guess that's more my fault since I made an assumption that this doorbell had a feature that most other doorbells with an SD Card slot has. Also the notifications are hit and miss with a lot more misses than hits. I'm getting maybe 1 out of every 4 motion/person event notifications no matter what kind of sensitivity settings I've got. And I guess person detection takes precedence over motion events since the doorbell doesn't turn on the night light when I walk by it at night. But if i check the timeline, I see that it recorded me walking by the camera and never sent a notification. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but it's been frustrating to learn about the shortcomings. I'm starting to regret changing to this doorbell instead of just buying the same brand I used previously.

In addition to the Fusion
In addition to the Fusion 4k NVR and phone ordered direct from Lorex , I also ordered a Lorex Chime from Amazon. I called customer support on the morning of (I believe) 3/26/26 with questions about the configuration of the Chime, phone, and Fusion 4K. I was met with a voice that sounded annoyed, short, and disinterested. He asked questions like he was reading from a bulleted list. I could not find a device ID right away, which really seemed to test his patience. The encounter convinced me that I would rather research the information on my own than suffer through another minute with this clearly annoyed individual on the other end of the line. If you truly record your calls, you have an excellent example of how not to respond to a customer's support call. This encounter does not deserve a rating, as even a 1 star would indicate some small redeeming quality. I am attempting to complete the installation on my own, if I cannot, you are getting it back; largely because this singular encounter makes me so angry to think about it.

I am very pleased with the Lorex 2K wi-fi doorbell. The setup directions were somewhat difficult to follow but the company support helped get me setup. I would recommend it for anyone that does not want a monthly subscription.

I DO NOt RECOMMEND, this camere was purchased july 3 2023 and didint last til 03/03/2026 before the internal battery that drives the in house ringer went bad. then your interior door bell stops responding.
I CALLED COMPLAINED AND WAS TOLD TOO BAD SO SAD BUY ANOTHER.
SO REMEMBER THEY ONLY LAST ABOUT 3 YEARS AND ITS TRASH CAUSE YOU CANNOT REPLACE THE BATTERY SO EASY. I AM SO UNSATISFIED

Bad quality
I'm using it for 2+ y. Pi's of junk. 2k quality is no better than SH. Notifications always late. The bell works sometimes. Notifications when someone push bell bottom comes late and camera may not work properly. The support can do nothing.

instillation was nearly impossible on my brick outside my house. Also by the time it says someone is at my door and i immediately pull it up the person is gone? Sometimes it say uh ! Something went wrong! This frustrates me. What's the point if I can't catch someone in action!?

The first Lorex 2K WI-FI
The first Lorex 2K WI-FI Video doorbell worked for about two years and then broke down. Since I had purchased a 3-year warranty, I replaced the doorbell with a new one. So far, it's working well.

Best Doorbell Cam
Unit has plenty of storage, sound is great. Installation was easy to preform and setup was a breeze. I am able to hear clearly anyone at the door though the doorbell cam. My voice is also clear and understandable.

The picture is very dark
The picture is very dark with limited color. I had a ring doorbell that provided a much better view that could determine a persons features. I'm thinking about going back to the ring doorbell. I do like the alert system on Lorex better than the ring unit.

Really, REALLY bad
I literally can't think of a worse system. I can't even put all the terrible aspects of this into words. The app, reliability, support, everything has issues which renders the system and functionality practically useless. I'm really bummed I spent so much money on this.

Good until it stopped functioning properly.
It was good until it just stop functioning properly. Our door bell no long rings when the button is pushed. I've gone back to the regular default doorbell that came with the house. The camera was going in an out and I kept getting a "Fail to load" message for the storage. The door would get hot often as well.

Big Lorex fan. Have had the 2 K wired for several years then stopped working. Replacement will not connect to the WiFi. I have followed all steps from Lorex and it will still not connect. Would love to hear a solution from you.

Doorbell Died - Manufacture defect - Out of Warren
For the last 6 months the doorbell would disconnect every 2-4 weeks. It would NEVER connect on the first try. I would try & connect it 3 or 4x, give up. Try again 3 or 4x the next day, give up. Same on the 3rd day. It would connect on the 2nd or 3rd day then disconnect again 2-4 weeks later and the cycle would repeat.
2 night ago I started the process & the thing was so hot I couldn't hold it for more than a few seconds. Turned it off & came back to it the next day and it wont power up.
Called lorex, they won't replace it. I have the exact same doorbell installed on another door with a different xfmer & no issues. I'm 3k into my lorex setup & now need to look into replacements.
Lorex is so janky, there product support search on the website leads to dead ends.
Just now when posting this review I noticed you have to agree to terms & conditions to post so I clicked to see what that could be, not found lol. Story of Loex's website.
But don't take my word for it, check reddit & see for yourself.
