Called tech support and they tried to find every excuse and find me at fault. They were helpful in the fact that they gave me troubleshooting ideas but seems like they just didn't want to accept that it was a faulty device.

Device won't stay on.

When it works it is great. It goes offline quite a bit, very aggravating. It also sometimes does not pick up a person. A piece of me wants to send it back.

I was never able to get this doorbell working. I have used many lorex products in the past with no issue. But this doorbell would not work. My first call to tech support they told me I wasn't using a good enough charger to charge the doorbell. So I charged it for two additional days using a better charger. The second call to tech support they wanted to escalate it even though it's a defective device. I asked for a replacement and they would not honor that request. I was forced to ask for a refund

The motion sensor is terrible. And the delay is unbelievable. The app never opens when i gets notifications. It is terrible. Please i need help to fix it i don't want go back to ring

My video doorbell only works half of the time. It constantly disconnects from the home wi-fi network. The previous unit did the same thing, but Lorex took that one back.

Have had two sent to me and neither work. Spent almost three hours trying to trouble shoot between the two devices. Asked for a supervisor on the phone and by email and still haven't heard from one. Disappointed hopefully I can get some help

Cameras don't work

The product works well and does exactly what I need it to do. My biggest complaint was the difficulty in giving multiple users access to the doorbell functions. I would think that would be very common with your users but there was nothing in the start-up guide about how to set that up. The online user guide had information but it was confusing. I had to call user support (very helpful, BTW) to get things resolved.

Doorbell review

It works but its incredibly disappointing to learn that it's incompatible with the Lorex NVRs. I assumed that when wiring the doorbell power it would be capable of always on and just use battery in case of a power outage.
Don't buy this unless you are planning on using it stand alone.

Purchased a doorbell and 4 cameras with a hard drive recorder. All products work well initially and provided great video to my android phone. Was never able to get video on my PC. Recently, had to replace my WIFI router. Bought a fast one from Walmart by TP-LINK. All the cameras were able to re-sync with new WIFI, but not the doorbell. Info that came with router said if there were problems reestablishing connection to WIFI 6E/7, download the latest drivers for the components. Lorex does not offer updated drivers for the doorbell. Spent 1. 5 hours with tech support and still cannot connect. Of course, TS says its the internet providers fault. My ticket number is 934697. Strange, it worked before. . . .

My score reflects performance with the NVR. If you only want to use with the mobile app, this works very well. If, however, you want to use with a NVR, not so much. After many hours and several calls with different people on the phone with Lorex Tech Support, a tech support person sent me information that explained what was going on. Because this is battery powered, it goes offline to conserve energy after a few minutes. That caused the NVR to show a message that it couldn't find the Network Host. It also meant that while I would get Event Alerts on my mobile phone (iPhone), those events would never show up on my NVR. I returned it and will find a way to make a wired doorbell work with my system.

Works great. Battery lasts a long time. My only complaint is the QR code was so small that my phone camera couldn't read it and I had manually enter info to connect to my system.

Batter powered doorbell camera

The product is great...once you figure out how to set it up. The directions provided miss key steps like removing the SIM card, holding down the reset until the SECOND message, etc. Sad that a technology company can't put together simple straightforward instructions for setting up. Don't use the video or anything you find online. Call the 1-800# that you can find in tiny font at the very bottom of the instructions.
