This camera is setup in my office. The quality of picture is great at 1080p. I haven't seen its night vision recording yet to rate that. What I don't like is to use the optical zoom you have to manually set the focus. It's 2018 and I think this should be done automatically. Because you have to remove the clear cover to position the viewing angle, I suggest having the app on your phone running so you can adjust while installing.

Over 20 years I have been integrating various security cameras consisting of RG56, 12VDC sourced to POE such as the current LND3374SB product. Obviously, worlds apart between the two, but I have been very pleased with the reliability of the LND3374SB, which retains consistent clear imaging over varying temperatures and humidity in the Chicago area without failure. This unit is an expansion to an existing system of 8 cameras of which have been in use for 2 years without fail. I have no hesitation recommending these for DIY or integrators.

I purchased this camera because of its zoom capability. I have it mounted up high directed at a solar power plant about 100 yards away. The image is nice and clear. Since the plant is so far away the IR illumination doesn't show up so I can't comment on that. The camera was easy to install and get adjusted to point in the direction I wanted. It is mounted on a ceiling and I noticed that it cannot point directly horizontal. This isn't an issue for me but perhaps it might be for some applications where mounting on a wall would be a better choice for horizontal aiming. I have it connected directly to my HD NVR which provides the camera power via PoE. Very convenient. With my experience so far I would purchase it again if I needed another camera like it.

This is a great addition to any 3Mp system if you are needing more detail in your captures. With the full zoom-in @ 33°, and digital zoom on LiveView or PlayBack, I can clearly read Automobile License Plates 100 feet away. Just what I needed for my Parking Lot Security.

I purchased the cameras back in Jan. and so far I've been very impressed. I have recommended your cameras to neighbors and so far one of my neighbor across the street from me have purchased your camera system. I'm in a brand new community here in Orlando and i get a lot of looks and questions and there are many more homes to be built so I'll keep sending home owners to your website. :-)

I purchased the four pack of the LND3374B cameras and installed them in outdoor locations on CAT5 cable already run through my home. It was easy (once the cable was in). By first plugging in the cameras and having the FLIR Cloud running on my phone, I could see the camera image and adjust to get the right lens focal length (from wide angle to zoom). Each location needed a different focal length, so the adjustable / motorized lens design was essential to get the desired coverage area. The pictures are good during the day and pretty good at night as well; better if there is some ambient light. The only problem I have had was with the NVR (NR808) which was erratic at sensing motion. After a couple of discussions with technical support, they have agreed to replace the unit. Technical support was easy to reach and thorough. Like other users, the two fans in the unit are noisy. I will move to a closet were the fans cannot be heard. Overall, good experience with Lorex and I expect good experience with the NVR when replaced.

I recently purchased a NR8163, an 8 channel POE switch and 8 dome cameras. All of which arrived promptly and neatly packaged. My intent was to use the POE switch to handle 5 cameras located at one end of the house ( basically through the garage attic ) and wire the 3 remaining cameras directly to the NVR unit. Attaching both the POE switch and NVR to my wireless router was also very easy. I downloaded the Lorex PC software to my laptop and was viewing the live camera shots in no time at all. The actual overall assembly and configuration of the NVR cameras was a snap. Even when adding the POE switch into the mix. Naturally fishing the wire through the interior walls of the house was the biggest hurdle. Because of the size of the RJ-45 connectors on each cameras extension cable (60 ft came with each camera) I found it easier to fish cat5e and terminate my own wires. But I could have just as easily drilled larger holes in my top and bottom internal wall plates. Having said all of that so far I'm quite pleased with the product. The only negative comment I can make is that the cooling system(fans) on the NVR are too noisy. So much so I had to move the location of the unit from my office to my basement - which was not in the original plan.

I purchased the 4 pack about a week ago and they were $100 less. The cameras are really nice. The dome camera gives a much cleaner look to a home than a bullet camera. The field of view is great. ( I only need 2 of these cameras on the corner of my house compared to the 3 bullet cams I use to have. I love the fact that there is a 3x optical zoom that I can operate from my cell phone. Adjusting the view of the camera is much easier than working with a bullet cam. I originally purchased a 3mp system from swann that was a little more expensive. The picture quality of the lorex system is way better, also the optical zoom is key! Something swann does not offer on any of their bullet or dome cams. I was skeptical about the night vision on this camera with there being only 2 lights on it. Again this camera wins out when compared to cameras with a bunch of mini lights on it. Night vision distance is a little longer in comparison to the 3mp swann bullets. I am only knocking the cameras because 1 of them was broken right out of the box. This wouldn't be an issue but customer support is a nightmare. I purchased this 4 pack, 2 - 12x PTZ's and the new LNR500 16 Chanel NVR. ( $2300 set up ) in order to replace the camera I was on hold for 30 minutes to talk to someone in customer service, only to be transferred to technical support ( on hold for another 30 minutes) they will try to trouble shoot the camera with you. They then make you a worker order ticket #, then you have to call customer support again ( on hold for another 30-40 minutes) they will then issue you a new camera. In my situation they never created the work order ticket, so I have to go through all that crap again. It is actually easier for me to just return the entire system and re-order it. To return something you will be on hold for 1-2 minutes, a return slip is emailed to you in 1-2 minutes, and UPS will be at your door in 1-3 hours and you will have all new stuff in 1-4 days. You need to get a better system in place on the customer service end. Conclusion: good system ( when it works, poor customer service ) also good luck understanding them...call center is in India.

Image quality in the daylight is excellent when, of course, viewed on a device that can playback in 1080p. Image quality at night is very good when there is an external artificial lighting source.I live in a somewhat rural setting. Across the street I have neighbors that generally have some outside lighting, and I have a streetlight visible from the house. I also have a decently bright porch light. When all these factors combine together, the image quality is very good and events are easily discernible. However, in the rear of the house, there is complete darkness for the most part, and that is where this camera starts to lose my admiration. In complete darkness, the camera does not perform well. I would say the maximum distance in which you'll be able to discern events is 20-30 feet no more (in complete darkness). I don't know how the manufacturer can claim longer distances - its just not true. You may be able to vaguely make out something in the distance, but it won't be helpful. We have had out fair share of rain since installation, and the cameras have held up well. Same thing goes for the cold temps, but, in truth, we have not had extremely cold weather as of yet. The client to view the cameras on the MAC is pretty good. I believe the motion detection is only so-so. There are times when it definitely doesn't log the motion. The mobile apps are decent as well. It didn't take me long to figure out how to connect it to the network.
