Powerful Camera thank you Lorex
I purchased this camera a year ago and setup was easy. Great camera, it's nice to see the animals that come into my backyard and the light that comes on scares some of them away. Thank you Lorex!

Not good and extended warranty will give you pause
Bought the flood light 14 months ago and purchased the Extend warranty plan for 4 years. Had a problem at month 13 with the lights constantly flickering or dimming non-stop whether it was turned or turned off. Up to that point I had no issues. Called Lorex tech support and they requested a video. I sent the video and they said it needs to be replaced but it was out of the their 1 year warranty. They said I need to open a ticket with Extend for my extended warranty. I opened a ticket and waited for 3 days but no response. I called them and they said it needed to be routed to a different group. I received an email with 6 questions to answer and I did that. Waited another 3 days and had to call back and was told it would be routed to another group and to wait a week. After 5 days I received an email that I would be receiving an email with a mastercard credit for the price I paid on the flood light. Their insurance policy says they will either fix or replace it and if neither of those can be done they will give you your money back. I wondered why they chose to give my money back instead of replacing it and noticed the price had gone up $50 since I bought it last year and obviously they didn't want to pay the extra $50 to replace it with the same model so they chose to refund my money. Keep this in mind when purchasing the warranty. As a side note, I didn't get the taxes back that I paid on it, only the listed price and you have to go through Lorex to get a refund on the remainder of warranty that will go unused.

the software really ruins it
build quality is good. the lights work great, with brightness and color adjustments. being able to store everything locally is a huge plus too.
but after that it begins. . . it took maybe 15 minutes to physically install, and then OVER TWO HOURS to get the camera to connect to the app. connecting to device wifi, then to my wifi, then restarting the device, then back to the device wifi, all for it to just fail silently. not sure what actually got it to finally connect?
the app itself isn't that bad. lots a features and adjustments. the thing that ruins the experience is reviewing video. you can only review one video before it indefinitely locks out playing all other video, including the live camera! you can restart the app, you can restart the device, nothing seems to fix the "uh oh! something went wrong. " aside from just waiting for it to work again.
if it weren't for the persistent "uh oh!" message, this might be a five star product, but with the current software, hey at least the lights work.

Lorex Spotlight ????
This spotlight camera replaces my Ring spotlight camera. It has an excellent clear picture, great notification features and I like the fact that it has local storage with a cloud option should I need it. I wish it had a wider, 120-130-degree lens so I could see a wider field.

I'm super pleased with my purchase of this camera and flood light combo.
I looked at multiple manufacturers before deciding on Lorex.
Installation was plug and play, not complicated and the functionality is just what I expected.
I have no reservations in recommending this company's products and services.

Great camera, bad Wifi connectivity.
Works great, great picture, but drops Wifi out of no where. Comes back online after a while.

Do not buy
Do no waste your money I'm on my second one. First one stoped working after a few months, second one lasted a month and now I have to wait for Lorex to call me back. For over $200 this should not happen.

Great floodlight camera
The quality of the picture along with the features are very impressive! I like that I can store my own video feeds to a SD card and not have to pay for an annual subscription.

Viewing angles could be better
The camera works pretty well, and the recognition usually works. It doesn't do what I was hoping for, though. I was looking for a replacement for a Ring floodlight camera, but this one does not cover the same area (neither as wide nor as tall) as the Ring.

Easy Installation
This replaced an older Lorex floodlight. The installation more simple than the older unit and connecting it to my system was far easier as well. The capability of detecting people, animals and vehicles is a big improvement.

Great video and floodlight security device. This is my second one.
The camera, the floodlight, the phone app for viewing live and recorded images, is fantastic. Once it's set-up, it runs great. The installation was easy because, as a DIY kit, it was very well thought out. However, thank goodness, Lorex has fantastic live telephone customer support, because getting it stated and working took help.

Great product but very sensitive
I have the vehicle and person identification turned on, but cats and raccoons (little critters) are triggering the cameras. I just haven't had time to dig into as of yet. Otherwise, excellent product and the app is wonderful.
