Shopper : What's the length of the umbrella once it's collapsed?SUPAKIT S : When collapsed, it's around 10" long. It's as compact as those normal travel umbrella. Hope this answer help.JEFFREY R : It's approx. 10" long when it's fully closed. Very compact.RAY L : Don't buy it!, to be fare the light it creates is beautiful! But this umbrella is super lite duty. Treat it like it's made of glass A breeze knocked my stand over and that was it for the Trifold! I've been waiting to get this off my mind. And to answer your question about 6 inches.

IMPORTANT: Measure verify shaft and receptacle diameter dimensions for compatibility

Ensure the size of your umbrella receptacle (the shaft hole) is wide enough to accept this umbrellas shaft. Otherwise ignore the rest of this review rating:Lastolite is of high quality craftsmanship and seems durable and this compact folding design is well thought out executed. Folded size is excellent for travel pack and carry. Umbrella opens big and wide as full-size one which gives classic wide soft light spread proven over decades. Be aware universally umbrellas don't hold up well against wind, making outdoor location use tricky.Again make sure it will fit your mount. I believe shaft clamp style would be appropriate to mount this umbrella but usually clamps are with larger light units (I'm not sure). I’ve thought this opinion through, tested for what works for me, your needs and results may differ.

great built quallity

it is the second umbrella I bought, I love it, before this one I get a cheaper one and now my money is perfectly invested. I really love that it is compact and resistant

Awesome but may not fit

This umbrella is awesome folds down small to throw in my back pocket during hectic running around jobs... Problem is the rod is to wide at the bottom to allow for the telescoping so it may not fit into some umbrella adapters built into certain Manufacturers heads like Speedotron
