Love this reflector! Terrific quality and the handle makes it so much easier to handle if I am shooting alone without an assistant. And it folds up for easy storage and packing.

Great tool if you use natural light and need a lighting boost or to decrease heavy shadowing on faces. The handle makes it much easier to manipulate. Little awkward at first but just practice a little and enjoy the difference it makes in your images.

This is a sturdy reflector versus getting a disc version.

It's great stuff until you collapse it and the handle falls off. At that point you have a reflector or a diffuser without a handle. It still works, but a standard round substitute for it works even better.

The reflector is very handy and effective in reflecting light. It's a little difficult to get it to collapse.

It's a bit heavier than I expected so it's a little awkward, but it feels very sturdy. I love the way it wraps around my hand. It's a great way to use a reflector when you don't have someone to hold it for you.

This is the best reflector I have used for outdoor shoots and even for one-handed use. Try that with a regular circular reflector on a windy day. It is very light weight and easy to hold. I like the secure grip with the hand strap. This is a tough, well designed piece of gear that lets you get the desired lighting effect quickly. I will be getting more of these for other light effects like double fill, diffusion, blocking and warming. Folds up quickly into it's own carrying pouch.

I found out about this reflector from another photographer. It works awesome. Highly recommended.

Used the reflector for a few sessions. Then the handle went snap and popped off the thing. It's still usable, but not what I bought. Lastolite won't even answer my complaint.

I have a few Tri Grips. For diffusion this is the one you want. The 48 inch is large enough to soften all the sunlight hitting a portrait subject. One stop diffusion seems to be the sweet spot…providing noticeable softening but not eliminating shadows all together. At 4 ft across it is a little bit bendy / flappy in the wind and takes two hands. I have the smaller size in the reflectors - they are indispensable. The Tri Grips are very portable, fold up nice and travel easy.

Two stops of diffusion is about right in bright sunlight, and 48" is enough surface to do a really good job of spreading the softened light, even if you can't get the diffuser really, really close to your subject. Of course you can do the same thing with a big pillowcase or a bedsheet. But have you ever tried holding a bedsheet extended to 48"? The TriGrip's handle really helps. And, once you learn to do it, collapsing the diffuser to a fraction of its size so you can stuff it back into its case is a cinch. Doesn't get much better than this.

Picked this up after seeing a few pros use it. Good general size and ability to use it one handed is awesome. Travels easily. Got this one over other models as I can use it as a diffuser or a reflector/bounce outdoors or with a flash which makes it more versatile. Very easy to clamp to whatever.

Tricky, but ingenious folding up. Important to fold up to store, not tear, and not get dirty. Remember it's only big enough for one or at most two faces. Not a fault, it's just the nature of light.

I bought this a while back, and have used it many times, from bouncing light outdoors to bouncing flash indoors.

So I just received this in the mail- haven't even used it! and the metal wiring inside of it is all bent up making it VERY difficult to fold correctly! This is the second lastolite trigrip diffuser that this has happened to me with! My last one- the client spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to fold it (I had even told him not to worry about it, but was persistent). Products like this should not be considered professional grade.

I love my Tri-Grip reflectors. I have the Tri-Flip kit as well and use the different sleeves all the time for the color and reflective quality I'm looking for in a shot. These are indispensable tools and will set your photography apart from the rest if you use them to your advantage.

I have only had it a couple weeks and can't give a fair review until I have played more with it! No big complaints yet! :)

Great reflector. Very easy hand held by an assistant or the photographer their self. You can also easily clamp this item to a tripod if needed.

Diffuses harsh sunlight at a wide and even perspective. Softens stobe for creative affect on the subject. I own several Lastolite products, including multiple Tri Grips in various sizes. Products are durable and easily folded for compact storage or trasportation to location site.

I would recomend this to anyone, professional or novice. I hate the harsh sunlight and dark shadows that ruin the pictures when shooting in direct sun. This is a permanant part of my equipment bag. Just in case your not sure, unlike relectors you hold this directly between the sun and your subject, it filters out the sunlight and gives you a nice even light on the subject. No more squinting from the model or harsh shadows or streaks of light. One thing you should know, because of it's si...

Awesome!

My assistant loves this product. He used to have to hold a round scrim/reflector that had interchangeable surfaces that zipped on. Oh and they had no handle. He loves the velcro attachments and the how easy this is to hold. I love that I can actually hold it with one hand and shoot with the other if I need to.
Are you a photographer or videographer in need of a versatile, high-quality lighting solution The 30" TriGrip Collapsible Triangular Reflector, with its unique built-in handle, offers a revolutionary approach to traditional lighting techniques. This innovative product, designed by the renowned brand Manfrotto, replaces the conventional round reflector with a distinctive triangular shape, providing a unique and adaptable lighting solution.
The TriGrip's ergonomic handle allows for precise manipulation of the reflecting panel with just one hand, eliminating the need for a stand or additional support. This feature proves particularly useful for solo photographers or videographers, enabling them to achieve their desired lighting effects without the need for an assistant.
The TriGrip's collapsible design ensures portability, while its rigid form maintains its shape during use. It's available in a variety of color combinations, including Gold/White, Sunfire/Silver, Silver/White, and Translucent/Diffuser, catering to a wide range of lighting requirements.
The Silver/White TriGrip, for instance, offers crisp, clear light for optimum clarity on one side, and soft, pure light on the other, making it an ideal choice for wedding photography or general portraiture.
The TriGrip also introduces two new reflective surfaces designed specifically for digital photography - SoftSilver and Sunlite. SoftSilver combines strips of silver and white to tone down the harshness typically associated with pure silver reflectors, resulting in a softer effect. Sunlite, on the other hand, balances silver and gold, incorporating two strips of silver for every strip of gold. This combination helps digital cameras capture better images by reducing the risk of blowing out highlights in the yellow spectrum.
Experience the difference with the 30" TriGrip Collapsible Triangular Reflector, a durable, adjustable, and portable lighting solution designed to meet the demands of modern photography and videography.
