Perfect size and I love that the handle has a strong slot for your hand which really helps you hold it for long periods of time.

Holding a reflector and using the camera were a cumbersome at best operation without a stand or an assistant. Vanessa Joy- an Adorama superstar- did a demo using this to bounce flash on to her model while she was holding the camera and reflector, its so easy to do with the handle and security strap. Great product!

Reflector will not spring back into shape after only a few uses. One of the sides has a weak spring back, causing a permanent curve that will not return to a straight position anymore. Not be a major problem, only the service rep for Lastolite has never gotten in touch to discuss a solution, even after repeated requests. Last Lastolite item I will buy...

This product shows great potential in my work great for a diffuser and as a reflector easy to change and very versatile. The best part is the use of Velcro instead of zippers also the trigrip design with a handle makes it a snap to change around.

This set is incredibly versitile. It's got all the reflective surfaces I could want and I can use them with or without the trigrip or even in tandem. It's light weight, handy and easy to use.

Easy to hold with one hand while holding camera. It's a tight squeeze when putting the reflector back into it's cover/case while it still has a slip reflector on.

This is a very handy tool for portraits. I've used it as follows: 1. to diffuse strong sunlight from my subject's faces 2. to reflect sunlight onto my subjects as fill light 3. to reflect light from flash while mounted on a stand 4. to soften light from an existing light, such as a small soft box Item #4 I learned from Joe McNally during the Flash Bus tour, and it extends the versatility of the tri-grip. All you have to do is take the tri-grip diffuser and place it between your subject and the light source. It really did an excellent job of softening the light.

Once you have one, you will want at least two. I use them all the time. If you don't think you need one, you really do. So convenient and easy to use as a bounced second light. Just practice folding them up so you don't look like an idiot trying to do it in front of a client.

Very easy to setup. Packs neatly into a bag or backpack. Has 7 types of reflective sides, plus black and the inside acts as a 1-stop diffuser. This comes on all of my photoshoots and can be held by me or my assistant during the shoot. Eventually I'm sure I'll add another one to my gear bag.

I use this outdoors with all my senior portraits. It doesn't matter where the sun is or how overcast it may be, one of the "colors" of this reflector will work to make the photo that much better! I have found that the size of the reflector will cover 3/4 of the body, not the entire body. However, for most of the poses I use, it's just right.

I use it for portraits both outdoors and indoors (I only use one light source in the studio and bounce it of the reflector). There is a great range of covers that come with it and they include all that I will ever need. It's very easy to fold once you check out the video of how to do it on youtube. It's very well made and looks durable. It's very easy to use, but I still need an assistant to hold it. Maybe with a bit of practice I could hold it myself, but my camera is a bit too heavy for me to hold in just one hand. One person is able to change the covers with a bit of practice. Overall I am really happy that I got this reflector, I think it's definitely worth the money I paid for it as I am sure I will use it for many years.

Like the variety in the 8 in 1 pkg. All work well and easy to hold with the provided grip. Takes a little trial & error to get used to folding back up. Once get hang of it, no problems.

This is a great tool for portrait work, with one or two people. The modular design enables one compact package to provide a range of reflector surfaces, as well as diffusion, and black flag. The design makes it much easier to handle, especially if you are shooting on your own, as the structure stays rigid allowing for more precise positioning. The reflector is quickly setup and packed down after viewing the instructions. The Lastolite website has videos which make this process clear. It is recommended viewing

I've only done a few shoots using the Lastolite TriFlips, and so far I've only used the "sunfire" and silver reflecting surfaces, and the diffuser. The reflectors slip on over the diffuser and can be folded up easily together -- however, the included carrying pouch is too small to hold it like that. As for the performance, I've used it to enhance shadowy detail that otherwise would have been lost. It also helps to soften the overall look, so it's great for portraits! I prefer to use natural lighting whenever possible, and this definitely helps. The design is very good, as is construction. The only thing lacking is the size of the carrying pouch. :-(

Easier to handle than the round ones and better in the outdoors, like the silver/gold stripe cover

After attending a workshop with Joe McNally I came back and ordered two of these. The versatile, light weight, and easy to handle units are a must. The 8 surfaces give you a wide set of tools to control your light. I find the diffusion fabric to be soft yet snappy, and works wonderful as a one light diffused source for portraits.
