Awesome stand! I have two of those, very helpful when shooting wedding

Excellent build quality. I purchased these so I can move the light stands quickly around a wedding venue. They are super fast and love them. They are a little noisy when you pick them up because of the legs banging together , but small price to pay for a huge gain!

Makes the process of moving lights around so much easier. I shouldn?t have waited this long. Locking system could be better though. Requires a bit more force to secure. I hope this is improved if there would be a next generation

I would not get this again. Especially with that price. I had both Flashpoint versions and they were easily just as good. I got this because of the hight (which is a bit taller than the smaller Flashpoint). I don't even use it anymore after like 5 uses. Just too noisy and clunky. I would think the auto-systems wouldn't have to be so LOUD.

Nice stand! I like the auto retraction feature but the weight is still heavy. This is fine if I'm only dragging around on and It is a time saver for sure. I just wish these were quieter when picking up to move.

Love these stands. Much easier to move around a wedding venue and faster to set up. Every minute counts on a wedding day. Will definitely order more!

Read the reviews here on Adorama about the stand highly rated by reviewers I find the stand noisy rattly and kind of on the flimsy side makes way too much noise I don't find it very sturdy to me it's overpriced there are many many more stands for this price that are much sturdier.

This thing rules for smaller strobes. If you're putting up a strobe with a big modifier I'd reccomend a C12. I use these C8's for my AD200's pocket flashes at weddings and they're plenty sturdy. If you want to use a 60" octa, you'd better get the C12's and some sandbags.

Great stand for speedlights and their modifiers. Super quick to move between locations and works well. Build quality is solid with the base being all metal construction.

Exactly what I was needing for weddings and receptions! Love it!!

I like the way the legs fold up and its super quick but having only used it twice during two receptions I must say every time I stand it with the speedlight on I worry if its going to collapse. It seems very flimsy

Great retracting lightstand for photographers on the go. It matches up perfectly w/ my Profoto B2. Wouldn't use for extended periods of time w/ the B1.

This stand is amazing! I use it for every session on location now, and even in the studio. Lightweight, easy to carry, and sturdy to!

The C8 is just about the perfect stand for a flash light and modifier. Portable and light weight for sure. But the kicker is that when you arrive at your location or are moving about many times, the stand is ready in 15 seconds. Just place it where you need it and the legs open magically and your stand is stable and ready. The center pole has sturdy clamps and adjusts easily. The whole unit takes a flash and modifier very nicely. When you're done. Just lift and collapse and it's packed in 15 seconds. So easy! Just 100% excellent from me!

I think the idea is great; however, it's too expensive for the materials.

Just what I needed to drag around on wedding day. My assistants don't complain anymore about how heavy they are.

I now own two Cheetah Stands. The one from 2010 is still going strong 6 years later. I love that I can position them in church pews with little effort for family formals. I got a second one so my second photographer can start offering off camera flash.

This stand is amazing to work with in the chaos of wedding day photography. It slips in easily between church pews, moves fast across the dance floor for transition between cake cutting and speeches. Such ease to setup instantly between tight spaces.

The stand is very easy to open, set up, move around, and close up. I really enjoy that. But it is a bit unstable with a speedlite and umbrella on it. I use it for weddings and would not put it anywhere it could be bumped as it will go down.

This is my 2nd CheetahStand and it won't be my last... probably just need 2 or 4 more - ha! Seriously, it is sturdy yet SO portable and easy to move, be it a few inches at a time in the studio or on location... pick up it up, move, pop it down, BAM! Highly recommend.

I had to rate this 3 stars because it does not work well outside. When the ground is uneven, it does not spread the legs (insert pun here). But it does work great in doors and very well put together. Outside you have to push or step on it a certain way while holding it to make it work.

CheetahStands make moving/adjusting lighting positions fast & easy. Simply grab the C8 and lift, the legs pull inward. Set the C8 down and the legs extend, it can't be any faster or easier. This is a huge benefit when shooting events in close quarters or where changing positions quickly is a must. Wedding receptions, concerts, or one person crew will benefit from the CheetahStand.

just pick it up and move it around! great quality build, and no problems as of yet. i only wish the screw was the same larger type used for my lumiquest which i'm replacing so that i could use the same head. oh, and it can only be used on flat surfaces, just as a note

This is pretty good light stand. Works great for a speedlight. I think I would buy the larger version if I was going to use it with a large monolight. Works well for weddings and dance floor shots.

This is an excellent product that makes it easy and fast to set up a flash and modifier in a quick and unobtrusive way. I typically use it with a Wescott Rapid Box or an umbrella. It works perfectly as long as you are supporting only a few pounds. A sold purchase.
