It's always nice to have versatility in gear. Here's one that runs on battery and AC, or even a USB source. I use this with the projection attachment and lens/gobo/color to generate a nice background for interviews. Once you add those things, this contraption becomes fairly long, and it's all held onto a light stand via the little half yolk, which also serves to secure the Sony L-type battery adapter. Not a super secure setup; probably better if the light is hanging vs on a floor stand. And I'm always a little bummed out when gear ships with a wrench. It means they know the wrench is needed. I have many lights that sit on a stand quite securely without needing a wrench. Why'd they do it like this? The light is dimmable and stepless, though I find it to be less bright than I'd hoped for. All in all it has its place in life. There is a brighter model available but a lot more expensive.

It is a nice continuous light for video and specific photo situation.

I purchase this product for both portrait photography and videography. The included barn doors are excellent and allow fairly precise control over the shape and spread of the LED light. The adjustable light level is great for the photography where I am using it as a support to my speed lights as opposed to lighting the entire scene. The fans kick on only when necessary and are not overly loud. This is an overall excellent focusing light for the price.

Its a very useful for precise control of light, that's what I bought it for. Very easy to work with when used with other continuous light. With strobes one ca use it provided high ISO/low shutter speeds are used... think about using patterns for the background. I wish they had more room in the focusing lens holder to stack gobos with other control. I would love to see godox/clar adding more crystal glass type of gobos to make it more appealing as a creative tool.
