Does it include a STAND as well as the SOCKET and UMBRELLA (3-items) or just the STAND SOCKET and UMBRELLA?JOHN R A : It comes with all three components, umbrella, bulb w/socket and stand.LINDA H : My kit includes an umbrella, a socket piece, and a tripod stand. One end of the socket piece is for the bulb to screw into, and the opposite end of the socket piece attaches to the tripod stand. In the socket piece you will find a hole to insert and tighten down the umbrella. I'm very satisfied with mine. LATONYA K : Do I need any thing to assist with maxiumizing it's performance? Meaning do I need a receiver box or cord attached to my camera so that it will flash when I take a picture?STANLEY B : This is not a flash/strobe lighting set-up, so no, no cords or radio sync is necessary to use it. Its a constant light. The brand name is Flashhpoint and I can see where that could be mis-leading taken at face value. As for maximizing its performance, learning how constant light works, or light in general is the best advice I can give you. Understand how lighting placed at different angles and distances from your subject, whether it needs to be diffused, which will soften its effect, by removing the black cover and placing the umbrella facing your subject and allowing the light to 'pass-thru' the umbrella to your subjct, these are the things you need to learn to maximize this set-up.

Please forgive me but does "WB" stand for White Balance, I am still learning terms and what they stand for and mean...I will be looking up how to set that!JOHN R A : The product is well made, I have used it a few times with no problems, easy to assemble. For the price you can beat it. One thing though you really need to adjust your WB when shooting...if not you will get a blue tone to your photos.
