This innovative device, when paired with another ODT 1510 at a remote location, can extend the transmission of RS232, RS422, or RS485 serial standards, as well as two General Purpose Input/Output (GPI) signals, up to an impressive distance of 10km (6.2 miles) over single mode fiber optic cables.
Equipped with a single RJ45 electrical serial connection, the ODT 1510 can be configured to support any of the RS232, RS422, or RS485 serial standards. Additionally, it features a separate RJ45 connector for two electrical GPI inputs and outputs, ensuring a wide range of connectivity options.
This reliable transceiver is designed to transmit and extend both serial communications and GPI over the same fiber link, demonstrating its efficiency and adaptability. Uniquely, the ODT 1510 is completely agnostic to the serial protocol used, supporting all standard and proprietary protocols at data rates from 300 to 460K Baud. This feature is enhanced by auto sensing and auto adjusting capabilities, ensuring optimal performance.
For precise control, the ODT 1510 includes an integrated dip switch, allowing for selections for the serial standard, serial termination, RX/TX crossover, and RS422/485 data direction. This can be set to either automatic or manual, providing flexibility based on your specific needs.
