This is just what I needed for some table top photography projects. It works well and the price is affordable. Recommended.

This Simply dose the job

It's hard to get the clamps on the reflector.  The clamp on one side doesn't work properly and won't open all the way to insert the reflector.  Hard to maneuver.  Wish I would have returned it as soon as I got it.

Not good

This lightstand is a perfectly adequate inexpensive stand.  The reflector holder is very useful in a pinch, but definitely does require some futzing with to get both ends at the right position to maneuver the card or reflector. I'd advise setting it up when the client isn't looking in order to avoid looking moderately foolish. A c-stand would do a better job, but you didn't have the budget for a c-stand did you? Acceptable alternative!

Works!

I use this product to hold my reflectors and gobos, occasionally to hold a portable backdrop too. It holds up in travel well, packs easily and is easy to assemble, though the knobs are a little finicky at times. 
This is a good buy!

Portable Reflector - a Good Buy

really versatile as it will hold every size reflector i own...the only problem i had was with the product demo...no "sprechen sie deutsch"...the solution is to go to the product video of the reflector arm (no stand)..

I've had the 42" reflector for a long time and finally bought the stand. I tried tightening the screw to attach the pivot arm onto the light stand and the press fit of the screw came out due to me over tightening it. The sad part was it wasn't loose. What was loose was the mounting stud coming out of the stand that is held with a small screw (the mounting stud is to small for the pole that it slips into. Rather the return it, my friend is taking it to a machinist to try and have it modified. In the future, I would spend a little more and buy someone else's product with a more durable design. In short, I got what I paid for.

Great Idea Bad Engineering

They say you get what you pay for however I would say this is one of those suprises in life! Not very expensive and super useful. I use it for the obvious use but have found it useful for things as diverse as holding shoot-notes, my iphone and others... will be buying a couple more shortly.

Great to hold the Flash point 5-1 reflector when your by yourself. solid and well made.

Like having a 3rd arm

I gave this a lower rating because the screw mount is not the larger size which I need for the Calumet stands that I have.  I don't remember if that was mentioned in the ad or not.  If you're depending on this in all kinds of circumstances, you might want to invest in one that is more sturdy.  But for the casual photographer, it will probably meet his needs.

simple & functional

I recommend it for any reflector smaller than 52".
I attached my 52" reflector but it doesn't hold it strong enough, just replaced the ball head with a swivel and everything was great.
