Well built and sturdy
I bought this when it went on sale but I like to believe that should be the regular price for this light stand. However, it is a well built and sturdy lightstand and can hold any monolights out there. I have an AlienBees B800 monolight that mounts without any issue and I couldn't be happier. From the photo it looks big and tall but upon opening the box, I was happy to discover that it is compact and short and perfect for backlighting or even table-top lighting if needed.

Lightweight stand
This light stand is not heavy duty, but I knew that when I bought it. Since I don't plan to use it in windy conditions or for holding a heavy light, that does not matter. It's perfect for an off camera strobe.

Deceint tripod for price
This is a good tripod for low background light. The small footprint might require a base weight if used out in the wind w/umbrella

A useful accessory for a casual strobist
Economical accessory for a casual strobist. Great for this application. Not built for heavy duty work.

Sturdy and worth the price.
I bought this along with the Adorama Universal Swivel Holder to use my second flash as a background light or hair light. The stand functions very well and is good for the money, but I gave this product 4 out of 5 stars because the user can pinch their hand if not careful when opening the stand.

Does what it's supposed to do very well
Perfect for holding a strobe or continuous light for background lighting. Appears well-made and is reasonably priced.
