Small compact waterproof light option these things are build rock solid and give crazy amount of light I have three of them as my travel light setup

Seems like an OK light. Giving lower score because product listing says it includes a magnetic modification frame, diffuser, and warming gel. These items are not included in the box.

Great iteration from the original
The product works great and is a great iteration on the original Lume Cube. The diffusing panels you can attach really help for our use. The product ultimately isn't really fitting our need but we are keeping it for other uses.

Good Value - with a couple nit picks
I initially thought this might make a good super portable backlight / hair light. With limits, I think it can fill that role.
The buttons are not as solid feeling as I expected, but not bad. The software feels a bit "1.0'ish," but it gets the job done.
As I played around with it, I was pleasantly surprised to find that built into the Lume Cube software, there is a control your cell phone camera. If you are in a dimly lit room and want to take a pic off your cell phone, this makes a nice way to assure you have adequate light w/o boosting your phone's ISO to the point that everything is super grainy.
Overall, pleased, but the price is bit expensive, especially the accessories. Because I couldn't find Lume Cube accessories on the Adorama site, I purchased a couple from Lume Cube directly - it would be nice to have the option to buy additional accessories from Adorama at the same time.

worked great until it didn't work at all
Mine stopped holding a charge right after the 1-year warranty was up. The only option to fix the problem was to buy a replacement. I didn't expect a whole lot out of this light considering the price but I did expect it to turn on/off and hold a charge at the very least. While it worked, it was super handy - love the size! Overall pretty disappointed and won't be replacing it.

Light is great but app sucks
The app design and UI is not what you’d expect from a 90 dollar light. They do have a bunch of light modifiers you can attach to it which is nice.

The light I didn't know I needed -- a must have addition to any photo/ filmmakers kit
I wasn't sure how effective this tiny light would be when I first began looking into it-- but the second I opened the package I not only knew exactly how to use it without needing directions but the amount of light it kicked out really impressed me. Its tiny form factor makes it the perfect travel light to throw a little extra light on a subject or a lot of light on products. It fits in my pocket which makes it a very easy grab and go accessory.

Nice for Macro
Small but very powerful light source of the right color temperature. I have used them mainly for table top macro work and they did an excellent job. The accessories make them perfect for this type of work.

Great Lights. Even Better Customer Service.
I bought these for my drone (Mavic 2 Pro) and only used them a handful of times. A couple months later, the one didn't take a charge and the other only lasted for a fraction of the time at full charge. I contacted Lume Cube and without questions they fulfilled my needs and helped me out! They were great!!

New Light - New Day
I am new to lighting and working within this vertical to utilize for video blogging, etc. So far...well done! Easy to use, lighting works well. Only issue so far is finding an adapter to work with the Joby Griptight Pro Telepod.

They finally got it right
Much better than the version 1.0. Having the ability to cycle + or - brightness, saves me from having to cycle through all ten brightness levels.
The back cap is no longer twist on, but rather a thumb covering. Plug and charge is fast and doesn't require flat head screw driver.
Build quality is solid.
The color temp is 5600 vs version 1.0 at 6000. No need to use 1/4 CTO filter, which means 2.0 is brighter.
2.0 comes with the frame mod and diffusion; perfect accessories and will save you money.
The only down side is it doesn't have variable color temp or programmed FX, but that's not a deal breaker.

Decent product with irritating flaws
While this is a well-made and mostly well-designed product, I'm going to give this product only three stars for four very specific reasons. In the future, if Lume Cube address these issues, I'd be happy to revise my review.
1) Nowhere in any media (Company website, manual, YouTube, etc) does it say that the LumeCube app is FIRST a camera app and SECOND an app for controlling your LumeCube. Additionally, because it's primarily a camera app it asks for all sorts of permissions that otherwise have nothing do do with controlling the light. I find it hard to believe that the LC engineers could find no other way to control the light than to wrap it in a Camera App. That said, I understand that BlueTooth requires location services be on, so I'll give the LC engineers that one. I don't want ANOTHER camera app. I want to control the light.
2) The battery level display on the app flops back and forth between different values. I was told this is a bug
3) The low-level functionality where you can set the light to only operate between 1%-10% brightness is being marketed incorrectly. All marketing materials say you can change the light in 1% increments from 1-10%. Not true, the jump in brightness between whatever Level 1 is and level 2 is HUGE in terms of lums. From Level 2 on, it seems to be fairly linear.
4) Finally, the kicker that rates this product three stars...poor technical support. If you contact their "support@" email address to get technical support, you will actually be talking to a sales/marketing person who cannot speak technically about the product, especially about the app because they contract the app out. In one of two exchanges I had with this support function, concerning the low-level function, this is the response I received, "The short answer is I am not sure! I noticed that as well when messing around with a Lume Cube 2.0 when it first came out. I am sure the Product Development team had a good reason when designing it that way. My opinion is that "1%" isn't really 1% and that it is too dim, but I have no way of proving that".
