I was super excited to get this gadget but after getting home from an 8 hour wedding and putting the images into Lightroom, I was not so thrilled. There is an indication of a color shift underneath the temperature reading - who knows how to fix that in camera and not in Lightroom? Not me and the whole idea of this was to get a perfect color reading to lessen my post processing time. Maybe the instruction manual would help, but lo and behold - there is none - so I search the internet for answers. I tried it once more - granted the lighting was mixed but the results were not even close to one I would get from metering a gray card. Regarding the size and convenience, I spent my whole wedding fearing that I would drop my $600 iPhone with the $250 globe attached to it, or put it down and misplace it (which I did) or step on it in the shuffle of herding people for formals after the ceremony. That's a huge investment lost. As far as taking the little gadget off and dropping it somewhere, that's a whole other fear. Pockets on women's clothes are not as deep or even existent. Weddings are stressful enough so I think I will move forward with less.

At first glance, $ might seem like a ridiculous amount for a 2 inch iPhone accessory, but after using it, it's just as accurate and easy to use as any other color/light meter I've experienced.

This is a pocket sized attachment for your iPhone. It runs as an incident light meter on the domed side and a color meter on the flat side. It reverses on your phone FireWire connector in order to perform as both meters. It is no joke and fits in your pocket while not in use. What more could you want for 250 bucks?

I've tested this with shooting video, stills, and reading color temperatures. Have used in studio testing and in the field. It's a huge help, works as described, and I highly recommend it.
