The LEICA VIEWFINDER for 21/24/28mm lenses combines perfect optical performance with practical handling, as the selection of the framing for all three focal lengths can be carried out without changing the viewfinder. The robust all-metal construction will stand up to the hardest professional use. The classic round design harmonises perfectly with the LEICA M system.
The LEICA VIEWFINDER for 21/24/28mm lenses offers you the opportunity to adjust the angle of view for the three most attractive wide-angle focal lengths. They can easily be selected using the knurled ring, which you can feel and hear as it engages. The viewfinder's optical system consists of 5 lenses, of which two are shifted to change the framing. The optical performance meets the high standard of the LEICA M6 viewfinder.
Despite the fact that it can be used with eye-glasses (eye relief 15mm to the last lens surface), an extraordinarily high magnification with good detail recognition was achieved. The magnification is 0.42 x at 21mm, 0.48 x at 24mm, and 0.56 x at 28mm. If the viewfinder is to be used without eye-glasses, the Leica M camera's corrective lenses can be screwed on to correct eye defects. The eyepiece has a rubber coating as a protection for eyeglasses.
The viewfinder's extraordinarily robust housing is made of anodised aluminum and - to match the design of the camera housing - is available in either black or silver. The foot of the viewfinder is also made of aluminum and can be locked into the camera's flash shoe using a large locking screw.
The viewfinder is kept in a specially designed leather case when not in use. It can be attached to the camera case or onto your belt with a belt loop.
