Where superior sound quality and efficient noise masking are required, the SM810AW Sound Masking Speaker by Lowell Manufacturing stands out. This UL Listed speaker comes fully assembled, ready for immediate installation, and is an ideal solution for enhancing conversational privacy and productivity in open office environments. The speaker assembly includes an 8" dual cone driver, a wired transformer, and a durable steel enclosure and grille, available in either black or white. The dual cone driver, featuring a paper woofer cone, paper whizzer cone, and a 10oz. magnet, ensures high-quality sound output. The factory-wired 70V transformer comes with primary taps at 4, 2, 1, .5, and .25 watts, including an "OFF" position, offering flexibility in sound control.The SM810AW Sound Masking Speaker is designed for versatility, suitable for both lay-in tile ceilings in plenum space and open architecture truss type ceilings. The 760 cu.in. steel backbox, measuring 11.625"H x 11.625"W x 5.625"D, is acoustically lined with fiberglass and features externally accessible input leads. The SG handibox cover includes dual combination knockouts for flex conduit and a 1/2" Romex connector for installations without conduit. The speaker comes with a perforated steel grille, available in black or white, adding a stylish touch to its robust design. The mounting hardware includes wire hangers, S-hooks, and a 4 ft. chain. The removable wire hangers are factory-mounted to aim up but can be reconfigured to aim down or sideways, providing flexibility in installation and positioning. The S-hooks and chain are provided for single point suspension from the building structure, ensuring a secure and reliable setup.
