Each assembly includes an 8" 50W coaxial driver with a polypropylene LF cone and 20oz.LF and 2oz.HF magnets, ensuring a robust and clear sound output. The driver is paired with a factory-wired 70V transformer, offering primary taps at 4, 2, 1, .5, and .25 watts. This flexibility allows for precise control over the sound output, making it easier to create the ideal acoustic environment.

The SM820A speaker is housed in a 760 cu.in. steel enclosure, which is acoustically lined with fiberglass for superior sound quality. The enclosure features a stylish and durable grille, available in either black or white, to suit any decor. The backbox also includes externally accessible input leads and an SG handibox cover with dual combination knockouts for flex conduit and a 1/2" Romex connector for installations without conduit.

The speaker comes with a choice of hanger or chain mounting hardware. The wire hangers can be reconfigured to aim up, down, or sideways, and S-hooks and a 4 ft. chain are provided for single point suspension from the building structure. This flexibility in mounting options allows for a discreet and aesthetically pleasing installation, whether above finished lay-in tile ceilings in plenum space or in open architecture truss type ceilings.
