It includes an 8" 50W coaxial driver, a wired 70V transformer, and a stylish black steel enclosure and grille. The purpose of this innovative sound-masking system is to enhance conversational privacy and boost productivity in open office environments. It achieves this by adding ambient noise and shaping the signal to mask speech. The signal is fed from a generator with an amplifier to the sound masking speakers, which are typically positioned above finished lay-in tile ceilings in plenum space.

The 8" 50W coaxial driver features a polypropylene LF cone, 20oz.LF, and 2oz.HF magnets. The factory-wired 70V transformer comes with primary taps at 4, 2, 1, .5, and .25 watts, including an "OFF" position on the selector switch for added convenience.

The 760 cu.in. steel backbox is acoustically lined with fiberglass and features externally accessible input leads. The SG handibox cover includes dual combination (3/4", 1/2") knockouts for flex conduit and a 1/2" Romex connector for installations without conduit. The perforated steel grille adds a touch of elegance to the speaker, available in either black or white finish.
