Shopper : What if the barrel is loose do it need to be tighten?HORACIO F : The LasserMax Rod is non-adjustable, and is intended to be used as "point and shoot" device. As such is not a very accurate lasser, and the point of impact may drift after each shot depending on the gun. I do not understand the "barrel loose" portion of the question, on a SIG gun has no adjustments to tighten the barrel, the barrel just locks into the slide before each shot. Personally i recommend the Crimson Trace lasser grips, as those can be adjusted for accuracy, and in my experience remain on target.KEITH H : The barrel will always seem loose when it is not ready to shoot, in battery, as they say.ERNEST W : The guide rod and barrel are separate and distinct also the barrel on a sig is free floating so it should not cause you any problems with the laser. The laser replaces your guide rod. If your barrel is loose with the slide all the way forward you may want to check with a gunsmith because that would not be normal. The barrel should float only with slide all the way back. The laser has been great and I have been very happy owning it.SHAWN A : No..the guide rod is separate from the barrel. The barrel it's supposed to be a little loose to help extract the shell after it is fired.
