It features Quad 3GSDI inputs with active loop-through and automatic format detection, ensuring seamless operation in various settings, including broadcast, post-production, and live events.

The QVW-1708-3G is designed for easy installation in any standard EIA 19-inch equipment rack, with attached rack ears that can be angled to adjust the viewing angle. It also features a VESA standard 75mm hole pattern for custom mounting installations.

With a native display resolution of 1920 x 1080 (16 x 9), this monitor accepts input resolutions up to 4096 x 2160, making it capable of displaying high-resolution 4K video footage. It also includes In Monitor Display (IMD) functions, area markers, hard tally and soft tally, and network control via Ethernet.

Additional features include presence indicators for TC, CC (608/708), Audio, a bar display for embedded audio and timecode display, and RS-485 in/out/host ports for daisy-chaining IMD and display functions. The monitor is compatible with CalMAN 5 Calibration Technology and allows IMD control via Ethernet or RS-485 serial data.
