Just what I needed!

I really love how helpful this monitor is when taking videos. I take video of my sons youth football games for the coaches to use as training aids and for me to enjoy watching with my son. Our current camcorder has a 2.7" LCD screen and by the time I zoom in close enough to see the football on the ground I can't see much else but kids legs standing around it. Zoom out far enough to get the boys in full view and there isn't enough detail to be able to see what is going on. Tracking the boys when they run a play is difficult at best and it is easy to begin tracking the wrong group all because the screen just isn't big enough to properly see what one is recording. So I started looking for a solution and found this monitor. It makes a world of difference in how close I can zoom in and how well I can pan around on the tripod to follow the action. I wish I'd thought of this years ago. The monitor has HDMI, VGA and A/V inputs so no one should be left out. This is a nice bundle so it comes with all the charger and cables you'd want. You wouldn't want to hold this with your hand but if you use a tripod and are tired of squinting at a small LCD screen then this is just what you need. Worth every penny.

The Marshall M-CT7 7" Portable Camera Top Field Monitor with Nikon EN-EL15 Battery Plate is an LCD monitor that attaches directly to a DSLR or HD video camera. It comes equipped with a Nikon EN-EL15 battery plate, battery and charger. The field monitor contains 800 x 480 pixels and supports up to 1920 (H) x 1440 (V) resolution by scaling it down to its native resolution. A great tool for photographers and videographers, it enables you to focus clearly on your shots and eliminate the guesswork from framing. It blows up your tiny built-in camera screen to a much larger display that enables easier viewing and won't strain your eyes.

Photograph still images or record video in tough-to-reach spots without ladders, stools or dangerous climbing stunts. An easy, affordable monitoring solution, the M-CT7 features dual composite video inputs and a single audio input, as well as HDMI and VGA (PC) connectivity. Special features include a rear speaker for audio monitoring, Auto Aspect Ratio Detect, Image Flip / Flop and Color Temperature Adjustment (HDMI / PC). The monitor is powered via a standard DSLR battery, which is highly conducive to mobile monitoring. Additional accessories supplied include a mini-HDMI to HDMI cable, a standard HDMI cable, an A/V cable, a cigarette lighter adapter, an AC/DC power supply, a hot shoe camera mount adapter and a remote.
