I purchased this cover after trying two other brands. The clear plastic areas and the for make out much easier for me to use. The only problem I have is the hard strap that goes around the lens. It fits fine but makes flitting the cover into my camera backpack difficult.

It is easy to use and secure. I use it with the camera mounted on the tripod. I do not use it in heavy rain or snow so I can't say what it would be like in heavy wind and rain. I can say that having it with me when storms start to move in I can extend my shooting if I want as the storm front moves it. Everything is quality and I think if a person uses it with common sense they will be just fine.

This was recommended by an Adorama rep. I have used it numerous times for my girls' lacrosse games. It is a must-have for spring sports in New England.

This is my second raincoat of this model, previously sold by Kata. The first one was stolen, but was used for 4 years through various levels of rainstorms. As others have mentioned, the velcro hood wrap can be stiff snd slip into the image. However, this new raincoat was shipped with the velcro velcro folded better, so it may work better. despite the velcro issue, I purchased the same model for all its other features: 1) two-handed use. I simply can't understand Lenscoat and the other manufacturers that only have a single hand, right-hand opening. I need both hands to adjust ISO, chimp images, and my left hand to adjust the tripod head. Wouldn't I need a left hand opening when its raining? 2) the clear cover allows me so see all my camera controls AND the LCD. Having a solid cover with only a viewfinder hole doesnt make sense to me. 3) the clear plastic is thick enough to withstand 4 years of being smushed into camera bags. there was simply no reason for me to try another raincoat model.

I just received the cover and have not had a chance to use it. Inspection of the product shows to be a durable piece and very functional. I have no concerns about it protecting my camera and lens. No instructions in the box, but I found a demo on Youtube. Easy to use.
