Fits lenses much more snug than I imagined, to my pleasant surprise. I almost got the version with the added locking mechanism, but this seems to be just fine. Only thing is you have to press the lens pretty damn tightly to the adapter in order for it to turn properly, which personally I'm fine with due to the extra stability.

Despite what some popular YouTube photography hosts claim, this is the correct version of the Metabones product line to use with a Panasonic GH5 camera and the Sigma 18-35mm and 50-100mm APS-C format Art lenses with Canon EF mount. Using the XL version will cause vignetting on a Micro Four Thirds sensor. I learned this the expensive way. As for its quality, I'm loving it. Lives up to its claims and I highly recommend it.

Works as advertised and allows me to adapt my Sigma 18-35 to my GH5. Fits securely and gives me more stops of light. The one downside is that the autofocus isn't accurate. It's slow and continually searching. But if you're ok with manual focus, then it's not a big deal.

I really love this adapter! It really helps with the crop factor of the m 4/3 sensor on the adapted lenses. Plus it gives another stop of aperture which is great for low light situations and getting a nice shallow depth of field. The build quality and glass are really nice as well. The only things I'm not too fond of but not deal breakers are that the auto focus seems to be not too fast(a lot of hunting) in photo or video modes. Not sure if it has the latest firmware update so I might check that. The only other thing is some vignetting in the corners in 4x3 photo mode. Other then those not deal breaker things I would say I would highly recommend this adapter.

Just what I needed to get the gh5 better with low light. Nice sharp image, awesome low light, no vignetting or freezing as with previous firmwares. Autofocus works but slower than the already bad Panasonic autofocus.

Works extremely well. Focus is faster than I thought it would be. Entirely usable with all my Canon and other lenses, including my 70-200 and even my 150-600. I had read it may not work with the latter, but it does.

Great addition to my Lumix GH5 kit. Metabones Ultra .71, Sigma 18-35 1.8 and Sigma 50-100 1.8 are my most trustworthy tools for documentary and sport Cinematography. Metabones Ultra's ease of use and reliability with most L glass Canon lenses makes my line of work enjoyable.

I have nothing but compliments so far for this adaptor. It's light, well made and works flawlessly (in my case I use it for my GH5) I trade my Aputure DEC speed booster and get Metabone the minute it gained analogical features. Cannot be happier to stay out of Chinese designed and made products. Those guys still have some way to go.

It's really pretty amazing to think you can increase light collection AND expand angle of view with a simple device like the Speed Booster. I've been using it on a GH5 and it's worth every penny. It may seem expensive but if you already have a good deal of glass then think about all the lenses you WON'T be buying.

Bought this to be able to use the Sigma 18-35 art lens on the GH5. Works fine like a native lens. Focus's well. I like that I can go down to 1.2 aperture with it. Somewhat pricey but at least the camera thinks its a native lens with it on there. So it's pretty good.

Bought this to use on my GH5. Surprised on how well it fit into the camera. Easy to use and to attach to full frame lenses. Doesn't work with ASPC lenses so beware. Bumped my 4.0 to a 2.8 which was really nice and reduced the crop of the sensor for me. Buy one. Worth the money

Great product. I use it on a Panasonic G7 and soon to be a Panasonic G85. I am a Canon shooter so it's very useful to adapt my EF lenses to the M43 system. The boost in speed, bokeh, and FOV is very welcomed for the M43 system. I used a Canon 50 F1.2 on my Panasonic G7 and the results were out of this world.

Using this for anamorphic shooting. GH5 > Metabones > Nikon 50MM f/2.0 > Kowa 16H Also helps with slow motion. No noticeable reduction in sharpness. It jiggles a bit in the base. I've had two of these and wish it was slightly tighter, because the alignment of the taking lens is really important to the shooting I'm doing.

Did not experience Any perceptible gain in "speed" when mounted a Sigma lens to my Sony a6500. Auto focus performance in video is still atrocious. Works ok if you only want stills

The Metabones Speedbooster Ultra is a great tool when it comes to keeping your EF Lenses with a Micro 4/3 mount camera. It increases the light it gets to the sensor thus not only avoiding the usual light loss that sense adapters usually have, but actually increasing it. It would be nice to see some features for remote control of the aperture and focus in the future.
