Just when you thought your photography couldn't get any better, the T CINE Speed Booster ULTRA 0.71x Adapter for Canon EF Lens to BMPCC4K Camera steps in to elevate your game. This specialized adapter is similar to the standard M43 Speed Booster, but its optics have been meticulously re-engineered to optimize for the unique 2.4mm filter stack thickness found in Blackmagic cameras, as opposed to the 4mm in a standard Micro Four Thirds.The CINE version of this adapter is equipped with a robust cine-style positive locking mechanism, ensuring zero play during focusing. This feature is crucial when using EF lenses for cine work, as it guarantees smooth and precise focus movement. Designed exclusively for the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K (BMPCC4K), the BMPCC4K Speed Booster ULTRA 0.71x Adapter cannot be attached to other M43 cameras such as JVC, Olympus, or Panasonic. This adapter reduces the crop factor of the BMPCC 4K camera from 2.02x to 1.43x, producing the largest aperture optics currently available, with an impressive maximum output aperture of f/0.9.The adapter's optical features include a Canon EF mount lens to Blackmagic Design cameras with M43 mount, specific for BMPCC4K. It increases the maximum aperture by 1-stop, with a maximum output aperture of f/0.9, and enhances MTF. It also makes the lens 0.71x wider, thanks to the patented 6-element/4-group optical design by Caldwell Photographic in the USA.The electrical features of this adapter include lens iris/aperture set by the camera body controls, smooth iris support with the latest Canon (2009+), Tamron (SP series 2013+), and Sigma (2016+) lens models, image stabilization (IS) lens support, push autofocus if supported by the camera, and Cinema EOS lens support (CN-E 18-80mm T4.4 L), including AF (requires external 5V power via micro USB port), auto iris, and servo zoom. The adapter is powered by the camera body, and with most lenses, no external power source is required.Mechanically, this adapter boasts a patented positive-lock EF lens mount, a detachable tripod foot compatible with Arca Swiss Style ball head, such as Markins and Photo Clam, or attachable to a quick release plate by a 1/4"-20 screw. The tripod foot is tailor-made to match the exact height as the BMPCC4K camera body. The adapter also features flocking to reduce internal reflection, a rubber gasket to protect the M43 mount connection from dust and moisture, and an aluminum alloy and brass construction with chromium plating, finished with a satin surface.

Pay for it once and you only have to cry about it once. I purchased this and truthfully due to the recommendation of a fellow filmmaker who is my mentor and has worked on a lot of high budget projects. He informed me to take it back and get a cheaper one. His resolve was we are in an industry where everything is expensive so you must be wise with your money. So I listened, bought a cheaper booster and a sigma 18-35mm lens..... yup, being smart with the money. Even though the booster was amazing. I understood what he was saying.
