In doing so, it not only increases the angle of view but also boosts the maximum aperture by approximately one f/stop. This makes it a versatile tool for photographers aiming to capture more light and create a shallower depth of field, particularly in low-light situations.The Nikon G to E Mount ULTRA Speed Booster is compatible with a wide range of Nikon lenses, including NIKKOR F mount and F Mount G lenses, both AI and non-AI mounts. This compatibility makes it an ideal choice for photographers looking to utilize their existing Nikon lens collection with a Sony E-mount camera.When a lens intended for full-frame sensors or 35mm film is mounted to a camera with an APS-C sized sensor, the Speed Booster ULTRA effectively reduces the crop factor of an APS-C E-Mount camera from 1.5x to 1.07x. This allows the sensor to utilize all of the lens' light, producing a full-frame angle of view with an APS-C sensor.Constructed with precision-machined brass and chromium plating on both the camera body and lens side of the booster, the Speed Booster ULTRA ensures smooth mounting, aesthetic appeal, and long-lasting durability. It features a detachable tripod foot compatible with Arca Swiss, Markins, and Photo Clam ball heads.While the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm (AE metering) or other auto functions are not retained using this speed booster. However, a built-in clickless aperture control ring enables manual control of aperture from the speed booster. This 8-stop ring with clearly marked 1/2-stop markings is shipped as clickless but can be converted to "clicked" with the included click ball and spring.Please note, these speed boosters are only fully compatible with mirrorless cameras housing APS-C or smaller image sensors. They will physically fit the Sony full frame mirrorless cameras, but the camera must be set in Crop Mode to fully support the speed booster's functions.
