The Speed Booster XL 0.64x uses an advanced 6-element optical design to achieve extraordinary optical performance at apertures up to an incredible f/0.80, a new record for Micro Four Thirds format. The new Speed Booster XL 0.64x reduces the full-frame crop factor of the Panasonic GH4 from 2.0x to 1.28x, thus effectively transforming these cameras into APS-H format.When the GH4 is used in Cinema 4k video mode the horizontal full frame crop factor is reduced from 2.34x to 1.50x, thus effectively transforming the GH4 into a super-35 format 4k cine camera. In addition, the speed of any attached lens is increased by 11/3 stops, with a maximum output aperture of f/0.80 when an f/1.2 lens is used. the meta bones is well reviewed. in fact i remember writing one yesterday. oh well here is a shorter version.

it mounts up good but can have some play between the camera body. i used a cage with a adaptor mount for this specifically so my adaptor is rock solid and has no play at all.

you will find that the number ring is accurate to total f stops on your nikon lens. you will find about half way between 6 and 7 the exposure stops changing. not a defect just the adaptor has more adjustment than the lens.

image quality if great and the adaptor dosent mess with focus settings.

make sure that when getting the xl version you are using full frame lenses and not DX lenses. Several ill informed bloggers and videos talk about how this vignettes horribly, it was because they used a DX lens and not a FX. 

great purchase if you need to attach your FX glass to M43 cameras. I will recommend.

needed for work

Works as expected. I have used this to adapt my GH5 with Nikon 17-55 f/2.8G, 24-70 f/2.8G, 70-200 f/2.8G, and 50 1.4/G with no problem or vignetting at all.

It never clicked in the right place.  First time I put it one, screen was blank.  I had to play and keep twisting till it hit the right spot then it worked.  It didn't make me feel comfortable.  I have used other adapters and there was always a click and lock once in place.  Also, it felt hard on the lens side.  Way to much tension to get the lens to lock.  Didn't feel comfortable using it.  It worked once you had it right but it just didn't feel right.
