Perfect adapter for mounting my Sigma 18-35mm lens to my MFT Gh5!

Fantastic Adapter

I use this on my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera to get the super 35 look and feel. It’s been really awesome, no complaints. The build quality is top notch and it’s definitely heavier than I thought it would be. I can also use all the glass I already own which is a huge plus. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing so far

Yup, it's awesome. I use it on my LS300 and it's pretty much like magic. These guys at Metabones really know what they are doing. I've never purchased any thing that I wasn't thoroughly impressed with. The fit is perfect and snug, and really increases the quality of my images. Overall, very happy. A++++

Perfect compliment to the Sigma 18-35 for use on the GH5

Built like a tank

First of all, the F-mount has no communication with the lens. That means no AF or functional metering for my GH5. Not a deal breaker, but it would be nice if MB was a little more clear about the compatibility difference between EF and F mount converters. Also, not a tight fit on the camera side. Still a little rotating slop. All that said, would still buy it again. Image quality is great.

Close, but not the perfect solution.

Using with PEN-F and Nikon AI and NonAI lenses like the 35mm f/1.4 (which turns into a 25mm f/1.0) and the amazing 85mm f/2 (60mm f/1.4). Also works great with 180mm f/2.8 (127mm f/2).

Great

I got this to use 1980's vintage Nikon lenses on an Olympus Pen F. Optically it works well. I prefer manual focus and the Pen F has a good focus peaking function.

It seems that some purchasers misunderstand the purpose and cost of this adapter. The optics better match the lens focal length and coverage to the smaller sensor. A favorite lens of mine is the Nikkor 50mm F1.2. With this adapter, it becomes equivalent to a 71mm rather than 100mm lens, at F0.85!

An interesting benefit is that it also improves the resolution of most lenses. The only downside is that it is entirely manual. That really isn't that much of a downside.

The only thing that personally bothers me is that mine is a very tight fit on the body. I ended up buying another body for my awesome Voigtlander lenses so I can leave the adapter on full time. That's how much I like it!
