Love this as I can use my existing lenses and have less of a crop factor then they would natively with other less expensive adapters.

Great Value

Pay for it once and you only have to cry about it once. I purchased this and truthfully due to the recommendation of a fellow filmmaker who is my mentor and has worked on a lot of high budget projects. He informed me to take it back and get a cheaper one. His resolve was we are in an industry where everything is expensive so you must be wise with your money. So I listened, bought a cheaper booster and a sigma 18-35mm lens..... yup, being smart with the money. Even though the booster was amazing. I understood what he was saying.

GREAT SPEED BOOSTER, but.....

This isn?t my first Metabones. Works exactly as they say it will, reducing the focal length of the attached lens and increasing brightness of the image. Images from my Leica R lenses are tack sharp even with a second adapter in between (Leica R > Canon EF > MFT). I like the new locking mount, though depending on the lens used it can be a bit stiff to get on and off. Better snug than falling off, and there?s no worry about that.

Impressive as always

Well worth the money!  If you need to run your lens wide open at the fastest aperture then you need this speed booster.  The Viltrox will work well if you stop down, but wide open it was not clear and I thought that was normal until I tried this adapter.  I can run my f/4 lens at f/2.8 through this lens with fantastic clarity.

Very well made and solid. If I had a different setup, I would totally keep it and use it all the time. 
Pros:
-solid and well made
-optics are great
-electronics worked with the EF lenses I had 
-locking ring secures lenses really well (too well in my case). No play whatsoever.

Cons:
-locking mechanism is difficult to lock all the way down with all the EF lenses I have. It takes quite a bit of effort to turn the ring all the way over.
-as it is, the lens will just fall right off the collar if you don’t secure it immediately, which means you need 2 hands to carefully mount/unmount. -In studio conditions, this wouldn’t be a big deal, but because I run and gun a lot and am my own AC often, so I prefer the ability to twist off the lens and place another one on in the same motion with 2 hands. That’s impossible to do safely with the Cine lock. I wish there was a dual mechanism that you can twist the lens on into position and then lock it into place so the lens doesn’t fall.

Solid (maybe too solid)

Didn't work with any of my Canon glass that had weather sealing. Just won't sit flush with my lens enough  with the lens to be able to turn the ring. Worked well with all the other none weather sealed EF glass I have. 

Just be aware when buying this maybe an issue, even if the metabones website says the adapter is compatible on their site. Returned and getting the none Cine version.

Great Qualty Just Didn't Work With My Lens

The metabones does exactly as expected it makes the image wider and allows more light to reach the sensor. The quality of the metabones is really the key to it's success. The price may be steep but if you want the best quality and clearest images, metabones speedboosters are the way to go. This specific version is an upgrade from it's original ef to m4/3 speedbooster. There's an extra, elongated piece of glass that reaches into the camera getting closer to the censor than the original m4/3 speedbooster. This increases clarity since it starts closer to the sensor.

It works great with my Sigma Art lenses! It’s truly optimized for the Pocket 4k. I have a previous version of the Metabones for my GH4 which I put on my Pocket 4K, and there’s a noticeable improvement in sharpness across the image. And it’s leagues above my Viltrox speed booster. 

Only con is you have to be careful when putting it on because the rear lens element takes up most of the space around the sensor inside the camera body. It would be easy to scratch the rear lens element if you aren’t careful to line it up when attaching it - much more so than any normal lens.

Great accessory for BMPCC4k, I especially like that the mounting point aligns with the camera's mount so I can screw both 1/4-20" mounts to the same tripod plate.

Great image, good construction, overall very happy- wish I could switch it to 3/8" though, that would be a nice addition.

Great adapter, very clear image

Metabones makes excellent products.  This one is no exception.  It works totally as advertised.  I’m using mine with a Sigma 18-35mm.  The results are outstanding.

Metabones does it again.

Unfortunately, the Speed Booster I received had a poor fitting mount.  The adapter was so loose on the camera that focus pulls caused the image to skew during video capture.  Locking the body and adapter down to the same plate helped.  However, heavily dampened lenses still showed some shift on the lens side of the adapter.  The Zeiss Milvus lenses were virtually unusable.  Adding a lens support to your rails and follow focus will get you about a good as it gets.  If you need a critically stable image and you receive a loose mount then good luck.  Apparently, Metabones just can't get these things right, they're either too tight or too loose.

Such a great product. Yes, it's a very tight fit, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing does it? I'd prefer a tighter fit rather than a loose one. Perhaps the other reviewer received a faulty model.

Makes beautiful images AND reduces the crop factor on my BMPCC. This purchase was a no-brainer :)
