Too Heavy
These are shockingly heavy. It weighs 1/2 lb or 220g. If you try to use this on any lens that externally zooms or focuses, it causes the front element to sag. This puts stress on the zoom mechanism and AF motors it was not designed for. I feel that continued use would damage the lens, or cause it to develop lens creep.
It does work OK for fully internally zoom/focus lenses, like a Canon EF 70-200mm, where the filter threads are supported by the entire lens body. It could also work for prime lenses that do not extend when focusing.
Performance is average.

Adorama 77mm Close-up lens 250D
The product arrived intact but required cleaning as both lenses we ordered of this product were filthy with marks from the foam padding on one side and the other side which should have been clean was not on either one. The packaging box also had the glue coming undone on the seems. The lens after cleaning is as it should be in pristine condition. I haven’t had a chance to use this yet but it seems to be good quality and I see no imperfections on the lens.

limits the lens to subject distance
too restrictive on subject distance of a few inches, minuscule focus range

Great quality.
Pros: Great attachment for your lens at a good value.
It helps achieve much closer focusing.
Cons: The pictures are not quite as sharp as from the native lens from what I can see so far. I will update once I work with macro lights to see if there is any extra flare or aberrations due to extra element.
In summary it does performs exactly as I thought it would, slightly softer images but can get much close to your products. Cheaper and lighter than dedicated macros.

Close up lens
