Shopper : will this lens work with my Orion Star Seeker 130mm go to telescope, will this work with my orion 10mm and 25mm lens?GERARDO J. R : Yes, any Barlow lens works, as long as your foccuser accept 1.25" eyepiece, you can use any 1.25" eyepiece , just remember a 2X balrlow will double you're Eyepiece focal length, A 10 mm eyepiece becomes 5 mm eyepiece , So be Shure not to exceed the maximum magnification of your telescope, other thing to remember is when you use a barlow, the amount of light gather by you're eyepiece is reduced , use it with bright objects, like the moon, or planets, remember you are magnifying every thing by 2, Even the atmosphere turbulence, any shakiness Is magnified , Clear skyCHARLES K : Though I ordered a TeleVue 2X model for my scope, either one should work just fine with your scope and eyepieces. Your 10mm eyepiece with a barlow you may find pushing the high power limits with your scope except on the most favorable of viewing nights...You have nothing to reference it to so I would definately go for it, you are gaining one or two extra eyepieces for a low cost of the barlow. Every scope owner should or does own one. Good viewing! ; )FRED V : Yes if you have a 1.25" Focuser I know the Orion star seeker does. It will double the magnifying power of your 25 and 10mm eyepeices. Insert the barlow first into the focuser then the eyepeice into the barlow lens. If your 25mm eyepeice gives you 40X power then with the barlow it will be 80X power.CHARLES S : The shorty barlow should work fine with your scope. Just insert the barlow in the focuser and insert the eyepiece in the barlow. The eyepiece will focus a little further back with the barlow. In almost all cases this is fine, but very rarely an eyepiece may not come to focus. If this should happen, you can move the barlow back a little in the focuser and lock it in place with the set screw. The 2X barlow will effectively make your 25mm eyepiece equivalent to a 12.5mm eyepiece, and your 10mm eyepiece a 5mm eyepiece. Sometimes the 5mm may be a little too high power unless the seeing is very good.STEVEN Y : If lenses and your diagonal are 1.25 it should fit.ROBERT E B : The 3x extender would not work in my Pentax PF-65 (65mm objective, 390 mm focal length) Spotting Scope body. With the 3x in place my scope could only focus out to about 30 +/- feet. As I wanted the extender to allow me closer views of the moon - I returned the 3x for a full, prompt credit from Adorama. I have no idea if the 2x will work for you and your telescope?New User U : Yes, it will work. That scope often comes bundled with the Orion 2x shorty barlow, which is a similar barlow. The magnification will probably be more than the scope can handle with the 10mm eyepiece, resulting in a fuzzy image, but it will work.JOHN T : Yes, the Meade Barlow will fit a Orion Star Seeker, but keep in mind that the quality of the viewed image may be degraded (fuzzier looking image) and especially for a 10mm eye piece (Lens).CHRISTOPHER J : It should fit.

Meade #128 3x Short Focus Barlow, 1.25" Mount

I received the Meade 3x Short Focus Barlow 1.25 inch Mount much faster than I expected since the item was back ordered. ( I'm sure the covid-19 situation has a lot to do with many distributors waiting for the affected factories to catch-up with demand.) Adorama has a great price on this item and so I placed my order. The 3x "shorty" Barlow is a great compliment to my 102 mm, 660 mm focal length refractor telescope. I used the 3x Barlow with a Celestron 8 to 24 mm zoom eyepiece. The images of Jupiter and Saturn were excellent. I found that around the 9 to 10 mm settings on the zoom eyepiece seemed to hit the sweet spot for the maximum magnification on my scope. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised with the crisp and clear views. The Meade 3x Barlow's small size, in my opinion, is also a plus because it lessens the stress on my diagonal when I'm using the weighty zoom lens. I have no complaints so far with this Barlow and would recommend it especially for faster telescopes.

Works well

This works as is supposed to. Just don't use an overpowered eyepiece with it or you'll end up with image blur.

lots of bang for the buck

[...] The difference is amazing. The image is truly three times normal size and the quality of that image remains excellent. Lots of bang for the buck.

Three times better than 2X

Works extreamly well w/Celestron Nexstar 130slt because the FL=650mm is very low. Works great w/25mm &9.7mm on Planet's.

Meade Series 4000 #126 2x Short-Focus Barlow Lens #07273 is a compact "shorty" type 1.25" Barlow. Doubles the magnification of your 1.25" eyepiece while offering excellent image quality. Our most popular Barlow due to its excellent quality, value, and usefulness on nearly every model telescope sold.

Features a 26mm lens aperture, 1.25" barrel, multi-coated optics, and doubles the power of any 1.25" eyepiece without adding a very long extension between the telescope and the eyepiece. Insert this into the telescope's eyepiece holder first, and then insert your eyepiece into the Barlow.

May also be used in a diagonal mirror either between the diagonal and eyepiece for a 2x magnification factor or between the eyepiece holder and diagonal for a magnification of approximately 3x. Compatible with nearly any telescope which uses 1.25" eyepieces regardless of brand and even those with limited focus range.
