I bought these for the eclipse last year and they worked absolutely great. I can still see, so the filters were good and I like the binoculars. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is that the construction feels light and kind of cheap. (I know this is a low budget item, so that's not a big downgrade.)

I bought these binoculars for the 2017 solar eclipse and was very pleased! As with my several other Meade telescopes, the optics are very good quality and I have had zero issues with them. I bought these binoculars with solar filters for the total eclipse. I enjoyed seeing prominence's during totality. The only drawback is they are not by any stretch of the imagination a wide field. They were good for what I needed and I will let my grandkids use them without the filters for birding or any terrestrial observing instead of my expensive Steiner binoculars.

Cards and 10x50s were both great for viewing phases of eclipse. Also used 10x50s during totality with no filters. Great products for non-telescope people.

Allowed us great looks at the eclipse. They were rather heavy and we were better able to view the eclipse, when resting them against an upright post. Hopefully, we will be able to use them again in 2024, if not sooner.

Solid pair of basic binoculars. The solar filters are an effective accessory, but are somewhat flimsy. Their large diameter allows them to be mounted on higher power binoculars too. Ideal for the Great American Exlipse!

Nice magnified image of the sun with the filters on -- take the filters off and you have decent quality regular binoculars.

The binocs are well made giving a bright, clear view, with both focus and diopter adjustments. The latter is important for those of us whose vision is not exactly the same in both eyes. The solar filters are mounted in sturdy plastic housings which secure to the binocs' objective with a set screw, so they'll stay in place when needed, but are still easy to remove.

Filters are removable and using the binoculars without them I was able to see a couple of Jupiter's moons. With the filters attached, the sun is perfect size. Not too big, not too small. These are good because after the eclipse, they won't just sit in a drawer, they will be used frequently. Much better usage than dedicated solar binoculars. Adorama had great price and shipping was super fast, well packed. Highly recommend.

This is a gift to an elementary school. The teachers absolutely love them and it will allow the students to meet in the summer and see the solar Eclipse. The price was fantastic the quality is great.
