I was in need of ordering 3 Meade Lx 70 Telescope. I called the Meade Company directly. They told me that this model has been discontinued and replaced by Meade LX 80??? but I might be able to find it through other sources. I tried two other sources but they weren't helpful. I decided to call Adorama and I must say that I am glad that I did. The salesperson was very nice, knowledgeable, professional, and extremely helpful. I was able to purchase three Meade LX 70 and I received my order on time. I definitely use Adorama again and will strongly recommend this company to all my friends.

I recently purchased a new scope and tripod. The scope was a refractor and came in about 12 lbs. The tripod I purchased with the scope was rated at 12lbs. capacity but ended up being just a little to light weight for my scope. The combination was top heavy and did not have any counterweights for the scope. The overall setup was just to flimsily for my liking, after all I really like my new scope. With the Meade LX7o Tripod, my scope is sitting on a rock.
