Shopper : What does it weigh?DAVID M : 6.3 lbs according to the spec sheet, don't know if it includes tripod or notJOEL H : one pound, 11.6 ounces with both lens covers installed.DAVID W : I don't know the exact weight but the scope and hard water-proof case are relatively light.
Shopper : How stable is it on the tripod?LARRY B : I use this as a spotting scope and only at the shooting range so I have the tripod as low as possible and it is acceptable,however the images do get a bit jumpy as the tripod is raised. I think that most tripods will have these issues the higher they are raised. If you are looking for rock solid viewing at any height,get a better anchor.DAVID W : The tripod is stable. I use the tripod fully extended at the range and it operates fine. You can always purchase a more expensive tripod but there's no need to under most situations. In addition, I'm thrilled with the customer service provided by Adorama. This spotting scope is a tremendous value. The hard water-proof case alone would cost $50.00 at a retailer.ED D : The tripod that comes with this Meade spotting scope is quite stable for an inexpensive tripod. We use ours fully extended and set it beside the shooting bench. The eyepiece on the scope is just the right height when you are in a sitting position firing from the top of the bench. The longer range your target is, the more sensitive the scope and tripod are to movement. This is pretty much the same thing you run into on any spotting scope.TREY J : The tripod is honestly horrible but the spotting scope is totally worth every penny. The tripod is just cheap and hard to make adjustments

Excellent Value for your money!!

I can clearly see where rounds hit the target at 100 yards. The hard waterproof case alone would normally cost as much as I paid for the entire system. This isn't a $ scope but it works just fine for my intended purpose. I would strongly encourage purchasing any product from Adorama. Their customer service is superb. The scope arrived at my door within days of the order. Adorama is a first-class organization. I'm sure I'll be making other purchases also. Rock on Adorama!! You guys are exceptional!

Nice scope for the money

I use this for target shooting. I use targets that show color when hit and I could easily see the hits on my target from 200 yards using a .22. Good scope for the money, the hard case, tripod, and soft case that are included are nice as well.

Great scope

This is a very nice scope for the price. I was very surpised by the quality of the scope and waterproof case that comes with it. I'm sure nicer models exist, but for the money this is a great choice. This was 1st purchase from Adorama. Fast shipping, great service- would buy from them again.

Better than expected!

I was impressed how clear the glass was for the price. I would call it mid-tier clarity. The case and tripod are both a nice bonus. They are not bomb-proof but they are sufficient. Overall well worth it for the money.
