I would recommend this system to anyone. I wish I had purchased it long ago. The end screws on the beam provide a nice touch of insurance preventing the weights from any accidental drops. The weights provided are perfect for any reasonable combination needed. Assembly instructions would be nice but you can figure it out.

This Tube Balance Weight System permits the balancing of heavy or long-lever-arm accessories attached to the eyepiece-end of the 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope.

Each weight assembly attaches to factory-threaded holes provided on the underside of every Meade 8", 10", 12", 14", or 16" SCT or 7" Maksutov.

Three differing weights are supplied with each unit, permitting considerable variation in the total weight available for balancing.
