I looked for this exact one to replace the same model I got with my new laptop ELEVEN YEARS AGO! It was fine, all zippers worked, but starting to wear under the handle - I guess the highest tension when on my shoulder. I carried it every day to work with a heavy 17" laptop and big "brick" and a heavy 3D CAD mouse. Dozens of short business trips to Mexico where it was my carry-on and only bag; stuffed with a couple days of clothes as well. Five three-week vacations to Europe with the family where I carried it all day every day. Just can't say enough - I think this new one will carry me to retirement!

As a student, I needed a bag that could hold my binders and books as well as my technology. This backpack looks great, the color is beautiful, it appears to be well made, and it's fairly roomy. My current semester just ended but I'm excited to put it to work in a few weeks!

I purchase this to hold my 17.5 inch laptop when I go to the VFW functions requiring me to either write or photograph the proceedings. So far it is doing what I need it to do including hold the cameras I use for photos/video
