Just won't last.

I hate to say it but this is the third Megadap ETZ21 that has failed during normal use. I really want to like these adapters, they are really innovative and when they work are simply super. I am using this adapter on SONY GM primes to connect to NIKON z9 and NIKON z7ii cameras. Each worked as hoped for about an hour on my cameras until they simply and completely stopped communicating with the cameras. I have several SONY lenses and none of them will communicate using the adapter once it goes through the failure. Both adapters were installed with the latest firmware per the instructions from the manufacturer (v2.10). Each failed while the camera was on and in use. At the time of failure the camera went 'lights out' and when it booted back up the adapter and lens were no longer communicating with the camera. The lens will not register f/stop automatically or manually and will not focus nor will the shutter release. None of the buttons or switches on the lenses work and the camera display reads F__ in the place of the f/stop reading. I really like this product when it is working - but it is necessary to keep several on hand because I have had three(3) failures while using them on shoots. It is my hope that another provider will step up to make a better adapter so I can continue using my SONY lenses with my NIKON bodies.

Megadap ETZ21

Works unbelievably well, quick snap-into focus with the Sony 200-600. There is however a very small but perceptible amount of play between the lens and camera when the big lens is attached to either my Z9 or Z6.
