I usually by Breakthrough Photography, Marumi or B&W filters. Recently I purchased a Helios lens just for fun and didn't want to spend $ for it. I saw the MeFoto for $4 and was very surprised at the quality. I like the fact that it has ridges so it's easy to get off and there doesn't seem to be any color shift that I can tell. I've posted a photo directly out of camera taken with the filter on the Helios on a D810 body.

I was looking for a uv filter for my 55 Zeiss and found this little gem. It’s well made, fits perfectly, and I don’t see any distortion or reduction in image quality. If this filter just protects my lens from scratches or worse, it will more than pay for itself. I would highly recommend this filter.

I bought this multicoated UV lens filter for my son’s Minolta 70-210mm f/4 ‘Beercan’ zoom lens to replace his low grade, single-coated filter. It looked fun (due to its color) and what could go wrong at that price? When it arrived, I was impressed with the packaging, the actual color (better than in the picture) and the overall feel. The filter fit nicely on the lens and I was surprised by its low profile. But it’s when I went to test it that I was most pleasantly surprised by its performance. I took several shots of crepuscular (G-d) rays with the sun occasionally shining through the clouds. This UV filter did wonders to minimize this lens’ flare (which it’s known for), while dong a great job at preserving other attributes. I ended up with great shots of the sky. As a result, I bought a couple more of these filters, in different sizes and colors, to cover my son’s Minolta collection.

So far, very good glass without distortion. Pictures with and without looks identical, at least 95% of light goes threw Definitely recommend

While the price of the lens Karma UV filter is cheap, the build quality of the filter is one of the best. I used to use hoya super hmc filter for my expensive lens. When I tried the lens Karma UV filter, I found the result is just as good as hoya super hmc. Even on paper, the best hoya filter has slightly higher light transmission, I can not find any difference between the hoya and the lens Karma UV filter in real use. The lens Karma filter is several times cheaper, and has comparable build quality.

I've always used UV filters primarily as lens protection, but cutting out UV light is needed anytime I'm shooting outdoors, which is often. Titanium rings certainly help keep the threads intact as well. A cross-threaded filter is bad news, and these MeFoto titanium filters are one less thing to worry about.
