The last two documentaries I did used various manfrotto heads and a carbon fiber tripod. They worked fine as long as I used body english to get the shot. I then purchased the solo tripod which is awesome but kept the manfrotto 504. The 504 was bulky on the solo but what the hey. Finally I added the Miller head. Wow! What a difference!
