The 1863 Compass 23 Toggle 2-stage alloy system is an affordable 100mm system delivering precision movement in three levels of flawless pan and tilt drag, smooth start and soft stop pans and tilts with easily accessible repeatable controls. It combines the benefits of the Compass 23 fluid head with the flexibility and rigidness of the 402 alloy Toggle tripod.

With an extended 3+0 position fluid drag system employing smooth start and soft stop technology and 4 counterbalance settings plus 60mm camera plate balance travel, the Compass 23 offers a fast reliable set up you can trust and is versatile enough to use over a wide array of camera configurations. It is built to deliver consistent performance and drag resistance with no variation over a wide range of temperatures and environments.

The Compass 23 is matched with the 2 stage Toggle (alloy) tripod and above-ground spreader to provide a large height range 543-1713mm (21.4-67.4"), positive leg toggle locks and the versatility of using the system across all terrains.

Toggle 2 Stage Tripod

Built for maximum torsional strength, high versatility and compact storage, the 402 2-stage, 100mm, Toggle tripod is a proven workhorse used extensively worldwide. Constructed from lightweight alloy and employing single twist positive leg locks, the 402 2-stage Toggle tripod is quick to set up and pack away after the shoot.

The combination of the above ground spreader and pullover rubber stirrup feet ensures maximum stability in uneven ground locations.

Above Ground Spreader

The 508 Telescopic above ground spreader helps you to setup your tripod more easily on steps, slopes or uneven rocky terrain. The spreader achieves rapid set-up and pull down by keeping the tripod legs at an equal or pre-set distance.

The telescoping spreader arms allow extension of the tripod leg without detaching the spreader. The 508 spreader is suitable for use with the 402 and the 420 2-stage Tripod.

Pan Handle Fixed With Clamp

Fixed length pan handle supplied with black handle carrier to suit Compass 12, 15, 20 and 23 Fluid Heads.

Shoulder Strap Padded

The ergonomically designed and padded 554 Shoulder Strap is made from weatherproof cordura and nylon materials, fitted with anti-corrosive buckles and safety spring latches. The 544 suits all Toggle 75mm and 100mm tripods and softcases.

Rubber Feet set of 3

The 550 rubber feet are supplied as a set of three and suit all tripods fitted with the 835 or 508 Above Ground spreaders.

DS Softcase 2 Stage

The DS Softcase for 2-Stage tripods has padded carry straps, for comfortable carrying and a side pocket for storage. The softcase is made from weatherproof cordura with heavy duty zippers on bag and all pockets. Weighing only 2kg and a transport length of 930mm this softcase is great protection for your tripod system.
