Ultimately did not utilize as the minimum height which it permits is higher than ergonomics dictates to wit several inches higher than if monitor emplaced on table resulting in need to tilt head upward to view top portion of display Also the C-Clamp vertical opening is not sufficient to clear the skirt on my I assume average table The C-Clamp was modified at some expense to permit said clamping Also good luck removing the C-Clamp Mount to install the Socket Mount as the screws holding it in place I was unable to loosen Also did not utilize as prior to purchase I assumed a nearer display which the Mount could provide w/o need to clear space on table would be superior to that which I then utilized However it became obvious it was not as I found it uncomfortable and later learned ergonomic experts recommend minimum arm's length distance

Due to global supply shortage of everything. I had to compromise and purchase this item instead of the part I could not get. Even though this one doesn't have a spring to provide the up and down motion I desired, I was still able to Frankenstein together the mounting system I wanted. I purchased this stand and used the arm piece with Mount-It's MI-45111B dual monitor stand to get the system I have been waiting 7 months for. I then gave my coworker the short shaft for his dual monitor system.

I needed a desk mount for my business and recreational computer monitor. I purchased a 32" gaming monitor suitable for both my requirements and I needed to have it mounted to my desk and adjustable for height and side to side movement. I originally planned to affix the monitor mount to the lip at the back of my desk, but found that the lip was too narrow to allow the mounting bracket a full grip on the desk. I contacted Mount - It customer support and was told that this mount is convertible to a grommet mount which requires only one hole to be drilled through the desktop, in an out-of-the way location. The idea that this mount has so multiple ways to mount to the desk is ingenious. Once installed, the mount is adjustable, up, down, sideways, forward and back and is a very handy feature, that allows movement in any direction for perfect positioning. The high quality of construction is noticeably apparent upon assembling the mount and once in place and adjusted can be further locked in place by tightening Allen screws with the provided tools. All in all, a well-designed unit that I would not hesitate to purchase again.
