Excellent choice for Photo Post Production and life
I bought this to replace my aged MacAir. It had some tough shoes to fill, but I am happy to report it has fit the bill. I needed something small to fit in my camera bag and I liked the idea of being able to use a pen so I could make my post production adjustments on screen. Since I am mostly a desktop user, the pen does take some getting used to but it works perfectly with Photoshop and Lightroom.
So I would recommend the Surface Book 2 if you are working with photos or for anything. I used a DataSpyder to color balance the screen and that was simple and worked. The book is pretty light weight, but not flimsy. I purchased a shock absorbing Urban Armor Gear case and feel pretty confident the SB2 will be protected.
The battery life is pretty long - it allowed me to get through processing several night panorama shots and creating star trails from 40+ images with plenty of battery life left to spare. It also didn't heat up much during all that processing.
Solid buy.

Amazing computer!
Such an amazing computer.
The keyboard could be a bit more responsive, but other than that, I have no complaints.

Have to see to Believe
The reviewers do not do credit to this machine. It is beautiful to touch and look at. The Surface Book 2 screams "QUALITY" in build and performance. It is the finest crafted computer you will see or touch. All intel based computers compute, just like all cars drive. But some cars are Kia's and others are Mercedes. The Surface Book 2 is the Mercedes of Laptops.
