Meinl Turbo Cabasa, Medium, Black

The MEINL Turbo Cabasas are a superb innovation with significantly more volume than normal cabasas. This added projection comes from sound ports located in the resonating chamber that allows a crisp, full tone to come from the instrument. The Turbo Cabasas bring the classic cabasa sound to a new level that will cut through any sonic environment. MEINL cabasas are equipped with a stainless steel ribbed cylinder with stainless steel beads and a padded wooden handle for a soft grip. These percussion instruments may be played in a variety of ways from scratching the beads over the cylinder and spinning the cylinder to create a sustained rattle. Great for both live performances and studio recordings, MEINL Turbo Cabasas come in three sizes: small, medium and large.

Why it's so articulate
The Meinl Turbo Cabasa is made with a stainless steel ribbed cylinder with stainless steel beaded chain, and this results in a super bright cabasa sound effect that can easily blend with the mix or cut through when needed

Extra volume for live music
You'll notice circular sound port cut-outs on the front and back of the resonating chamber - these ports allow the frequencies inside to project outward with more volume and definition, which is ideal for live music

The medium Turbo Cabasa from Meinl Percussion occupies the perfect middle ground in terms of pitch and volume between our four other Turbo Cabasas (extra small, small, large and extra large)

The padded handle does two things
The wooden handle is covered in a durable, soft foam material that provides cushioning for long songs, and it also gives you a firm grip on the instrument which makes it easier to play and pick up in a moment's notice

Its well-defined articulation is chock-full of balanced frequencies that are studio microphone friendly so you can layer musical percussive sounds in recording environments.
