IMHO, this miniature MagLite “Solitaire” is the best of the ultra-slim (0.5"/12.5mm diameter) flashlights. Unlike the slim LED flashlights, this li’l keychain lantern uses a single AAA battery instead of an unwieldy (and expensive) stack of button batteries. It fits handily right into the 1/2" copper-pipe “desktop holster” I fashioned years ago for my defunct LED flashlight. And instead of having a light-duty/ certain-to-fail push-type switch, you simply rotate the barrel, both to turn it on/off and to adjust the beam. Very pleased with it. Curt Scott
