OMG! Just SUPERB! Using it with 2 x SB700?s on TTL. The diffusion is spectacular at just 2? away doing headshots. I haven?t had time to gel them up yet. Definitely worth the money for the sturdiness and ease of use. Can?t wait to use them on my next headshot assignments. And?that carrying case is too cool!

I purchased one of these kits some time ago and have used it on couple of occasions. For anyone who understands off camera flash and light modifiers it comes without saying that size matters, as does the type of material used for your light diffusion. The build quality of the product is fantastic; the carrying case is amazing, the ease of setup is bar none and the materials used appear to be durable to last the test of time. Now for the Con of the product. 24 inches is far to small for a light modifier and will create some harsh unflattering light if you don't have it at the appropriate distance from your subject. The diffusion is mediocre at best and there will be hot spots thrown by this set up because it's a single layer of diffusion. The silver lining of the modifier does help a bit with diffusion and specular highlights but it can only do so much. Bottom line is it's an ok light modifier but you do get a few extras and it's convenient. I use my glow modifiers far more and am currently trying to sell my mag box kit.

This arrived in the midst of our nation and my state?s complete shutdown over C-19, so testing has been very limited. Strictly speaking it?s been used in my home office only, and primarily for high end selfies using a Camranger, a Canon 5Ds and a 24-70 Tamron G2. That said, the attachment of a couple of speed lights or AD200?s was simple as could be and solidly locked down. The opening mechanism of the softbox is super simple, intuitive even. Putting the entire thing together, adjusting it with the grip, and taking it down again is superbly thought out. The carrying tube is darned near genius, right down to the filters pocket in the gray end . I?m really looking forward to using it in the field as soon as we?re able to get back to work. I?ve already shown all the design features to photographer friends on ZOOM calls. I think the MagBox Pro Kit is another example of the outstanding design work at MagMad.

I love this equipment!! It's so easy to use and put together! I can have my whole set up put together in under 5 mins and taken down in less that 5!! My only advice when buying this is be sure you buy two MagGrips! I didn't know I needed them for this set up and only have one so I am needing to buy a second at the moment which was kind of a bummer but it could have been my fault for not reading clearly, either way though I recommend the MagBox kit 10000%

It probably goes without saying that MagMod's products are unique, however, I want this quick review to serve as affirmation of it. Sometimes we can just focus on the price or the build quality or other similar aspects of a products usability and experience, but this product without a doubt checks many if not all of the boxes for any level photographer's needs. Is it perfect? No product can be.This is a thoughtfully considered product that makes it exciting to get the job done as a photographer, small or little.

This is an awesome system! It?s exactly what I needed for on-location shoots. The Octa box is heavy duty and doesn?t blow around easily in the wind. The flash heads stay secure and I love how easily you can adjust the angle with the mag shoe. The fact that I can pack it all in one case that looks great is a bonus! I?m very happy.

I just unpacked it. The most simple flash modifier I?ve ever owned. Assembly is amazingly fast and the build quality is high. I haven?t used it yet but expect it to perform as advertised.

I had been lurking in the background on the MagMod Facebook page, coveting this intelligent set up. Finally, when it was announced there was a sale on the Pro Kit...I pulled the trigger. I had seen a lot of videos and FB posts so I knew how easily the set up would be. I used it right out of the box for my first portrait using the Magbox and loved the quality. Very fun to work with. I would recommend this to any shooter who wants the ease of off-camera flash in many situations. Thank you.

I took it out and used it the 1st day I had it and I couldn't be happier! Strong build, as easy to use as they claim. The case that comes with it may be one of the kit's strongest points. Everything fits perfectly... Easy to unpack and re-pack. Very impressed all around!!!

This kit is also impressive not only because it's Magmod= quality, but because I love how they also have a place for everything in the carry bag. Perfect!! 1 bag for the whole kit. Love it! I tried out my two kits that I purchased this weekend. I love the simplicity of it all, However, I struggled to get a few things figured out. They really did think of ways to make this easy , I just wished there were directions included. It took me a bit of time to get it assembled. Even the most simplistic instructions could have helped. I am excited to use them again.

Loving it so far! Sooooo much easier than managing other softboxes. Love the portability! I wasn't going to get the whole thing with the bag but I'm so glad I did because even the bag is great for storing all my magmod accessories and even a few speedlights.

Amazing softbox. The only negative point is the bag. Quite bulky yet you cannot fit a lightstand in it. And the strap to carry it is all but comfortable. Overall this product is amazing but Magmod should do something about the bag, maybe to take out one compartment to fit a lightstand (as an option) and to improve the strap to carry it.

I had a sports shoot scheduled recently, and borrowed the MagBox 24" Octa Pro Kit from a friend, along with his flashes and the magnetized rings. I was shooting our school's basketball portraits and team photos, and with the different heights of the boys, I had to continuously adjust the stand, as well as be able to move locations. I was able to tear down, and set up again very quickly. With only so much equipment, I also needed the flash at times for other photos and to just be able to take it off , use it and snap it back on for a portrait was so easy and fast because of the magnet. I definitely cut an hour if not more from the time it would have taken me to complete the entire shoot. I knew then, I needed to have my own, and with the sale, it was a perfect opportunity.

Let me start by saying I loved it while it lasted. Less than a year old and the grip broke, one month later after buying another grip the mag box base broke, bad part is that 2 godox ad200 hit the ground and broke the screen on one of them. Anyway it was very handy and works great, just needs to be stronger for photographers that move are outside carry gear.
