At first, I was disappointed that I had to purchase a case for my softbox, as with any other it comes with it. After seeing this case in person, I see why it costs extra. It is very well built, sturdy, and holds everything you need inside. Nice zippers, nice material.

These cases are amazing and do the job. I carry two 36" strip MagBoxes and one 24" MagBox octa in this bag. For the mounts, place one in the provided slot and the other two at the top of each side of the opening laid flat. 

You don't need a case until you have one.

Great gear case to keep all of my umbrellas gear in one place!!!??

Waaaaay bigger than I thought it was going to be. It holds either two of the smaller soft boxes plus accessories or one large soft box with accessories. It's light weight and easy to carry.

The case just makes me feel more confident when transporting my gear. The case is well thought out and everything fits perfectly. The only thing I would improve is the carrying strap. It could have been built a little differently. Other than that the case is perfect.

For transporting my MagMod octa-boxes I had high hopes for the MagBox Large Case which for the most part meets more than the advertised requirements. Clearly the promotional info confirms what this larger case can carry, and this is all believable. What the promo detail doesn't say is what it can really carry.

In my MagBox Large Case I easily carry my 42" octa and my 24" octa, two grids; one for each, two speedlights with MagGrip's fitted, two MagRing's two MagShoe's, two CTO gels supplied with the octa's, full set of Pro Gels (original) and two gel holders, two MagGrid's, MagSphere and MagBounce, then down the middle a full size standard light stand (with the legs retaining screw removed and stored in the lid pocket).

This would be perfect except for the crap yellow strap that runs the entire outside length of the case, which slips undone to its full length when you use it to pick up the case (whether empty or full of all my modifiers). It would seem this was an after thought to the design, which wasn't at all thought through. There are a couple of D-rings supplied to attach you own carry strap, which you will need to provide. 
So don't underestimate how crap the supplied/fitted strap is, supply your own to make this case as easy to carry as the contents are to use.

Mag Box Large Case

Delivery was reasonable, even cross border. The quality seems to be good. Time will tell. I really like the design. Being able to store two flashes, and everything needed for the softbox is a lot handier than I'd originally thought. Keeps everything together and ready to grab and out the door.

Really convenient

This is a great tool for my photo needs, easy to put together and adjust during the shoot.


Magmod Case Large

I almost didn't get it, but so glad I did. This case is AWESOME! One side fits my lightstand and 42" magbox. Flip it over and the other side fits my flashes, magshoe, gels, maggrip, and octagrid. I'm blown away by the high quality feel over Magmod products! Sturdy, helpful customer service and quick delivery, I'm so glad I went with this to keep my investment safer!

Get this case!

This case is large but I love what it can hold. For me, I have 2 Evolv 200s with the MagMod magnetics attached, 5 (2 of ea and one correction sets of the gels for the bagbox, a Profoto light stand, 2 of the new mag shoes, 2 of the 36" grids, 1 Magbox Pro 36" strip box, and 1 mag ring. I have another 36" pro Magbox but I kept a it out and stored it separately. BTW I love those 36" Strip boxes! And it's still not crazy heavy all loaded, it's just definitely long, but awesome.

My work is 99% on location. Which means cases must ably protect my equipment. The MagBox Large Case has proved itself to be solid and purpose-built for the new MagBox Pro 42" Octa, plus gels. Meaning one less thing to worry about.

Distinctive Yet Discreet, and Solid

When I got it, I looked on youtube to see how to fit everything in it...it seemed I got the wrong item...no way would mine fit 3 soft boxes as shown in the video...I contacted MM and got Amy who assured me they would fit with just a little practice...I rewatched the video and saw the boxes fit around the center tube...the same tube I thought was not even there the first time I watched it...Amy and the rest of the customer service team are top notch and probably the quickest to reply and sweetest of any company...

Help explaining how to fit everything in it was quick to appear and easy to understand...

A bit expensive but holds the light nicely.

I feel dumb but I didn't realize from the photos that it had designated pockets for all your lighting accessories, I thought it was just shoved in there. This case is really awesome that it can hold the softbox on one side and two flashes and MagMod accessories on the other side. My only complaint is that though it can carry two flashes, it cannot hold two light stands. I would love for it to carry two stands so I can do a softbox + another light modifier like in the videos. But now I'm stuck having another bag for secondary light stands. I just want the center to be slightly wider so I can carry less.

This is so much better than I thought

I already had 2 of these cases and got the third one to hold 2 of my rectangular MagMod soft boxes. The first 2 each contain a 42" MagMod Softbox. I also have 3 of the regular size MagBox cases which each hold a 24" MagBox softbox. I work with other photographers (in addition to my own work) and we often have all this equipment set up for portrait shoots in various buildings, homes and schools.

I absolutely love the MagMod equipment! Everything I do is on location and better equipment for that does not exist!

MagBox Large Case

Never thought I would buy a carrying case for my Magmod gear. I figured I'd just carry it in the bags the umbrellas came in. Well, the case isn't just for the softbox. I store my Godox flashes and a few other things. I now have two carrying cases for both my 42" Octas and gear. They also keep my softboxes from being damaged. They are sturdy but light. Very good quality material. Keeps me so organized. 

Can't Do Without It

I love this case. It fits my 42" pro and my 24" pro along with mounting. I hate carrying multiple bags if I can help it. Now this bag does do much
Highly recommend. 

Large case

This case is just what this size softbox needs. Although I really like it, it's huge! I'll work with the size for great quality.
