Carolyn R : How exactly does a 200 ad pro attach to this? How would I attach a bowens mount softbox without using the round mounting holder?FRANK A : The Magshoe shipped with a small screw that allows you to attach one AD00 directly to the Magshoe. I will they sold them separately as they are easy to loose!DON R : You do get a 1/4 20 spigot that will screw on the ad 200 pro. You have to use a s bracket or a s s2 bracket. To mount your Bowen’s softboxes.MINERVA L : Sorry, Im not sure! Ive only used it with my speedlightsGREG S : Look on MagMod’s website and you’ll see how they attached a MagRing that can accommodate up to two AD 200s. The MagRing is magnetic as well as the base of the 24” MagBox. I only have the MagShoe, but this is my understanding.NATHAN P : The MagMod comes with a little brass 1/4-20 cold shoe for your AD200. You have to buy a clamp type Bowens adapter for speedlights to use Bowens mods, but those are also cheap. Somewhere on Youtube there is a "hack" to make the AD200 work better in the adapter by cutting back a little of the plastic around the clamp screws to allow the tiny bit of extra room needed to put the AD200 into the adapter without having to force it in. It works great, I use it all the time.

I see this mentioned online other places, but it is not mentioned in the product overview or specs here.FRANK A : Mine cane with one gold colored hexagon screw to attach an AD200 directly on to the unit. Most people dont realize its in the box since its small.ELLEN G : Not sure what adapter you are speaking of... what you see in this photo is what you get. Nothing is needed to attach it to the MagRing except the MagRing itself. As far as attaching it to a light stand, I simply stick it on and lock it.
BRIAN G : Can this be used on a regular tripod or just on a lighting stand?ROBERT F : Yes! Just add a 1/4-20 spigot to you tripod mount plate (what normally attaches to bottom of camera) and you got what you need. NOTE. Normally for off camera flash you position your flash st or ave the subject slightly for catchlight...ROBERT F : Yes! Each comes with a 1/4-20 adapter (male threads) and all you need is a 1/4 20 female attached to your tripods removable plate. Example: tripod plate(1/4-20 male) to dual 1/4-20 spigot, to 1/4-20 threaded grip adapter. This makes the Tripp’s essentially a light stand. Now just slide the mag grip off and on the adapter (looks like the bottom of a flash btw) as needed. Parts: tripod plate 1/4 -20 dual receiver spigot Maggrip with supplied 1/4 -20 male adapterKATHY R : Using it with a lighting standDON R : Yes it can be used on a tripod and a light stand

Best hot shoe mount ever!

This has to be one of the greatest inventions for flash photography ever. The magshoe is so easy to use, it's extremely strong, and really versatile especially with the 1/4-20 adapter that comes in the box. I use it with a speedlight and a grid for an easy hair or rim light, my ad200 pro with the adapter for wedding reception bounce light or color correction, and 2 flashes with the magring and the magbox for the best softbox experience ever! I highly recommend the magshoe.

The Undisputed Shoe

This is my absolute favorite accessory in the magmod collection. I can?t tell you how many mishaps with flashes and modifiers have happened on location or in studio. The magshoe has given that peace of mind that my equipment is secure and I can focus on the creative tasks without worry.

I love the Mag Shoe!!!

This is a great accessory for using off-camera speedlights. If using with the MagBox, it's awesome. If no MagBox, there is a holder for an umbrella, or if you just want a rock solid way to hold your speedlight or other accessories via the cold shoe, this is the way to go!!!

Best solution available. Works great.

I've traveled with these for a couple of years and they are absolutely the best solution I have found yet. They come with a little brass 1/4-20 adapter for any light that has a 1/4-20 female mount (Flashpoint/Godox200 etc). I wish I could buy the adapters separately really, I have more lights but I don't need more magshoes.

Amazing Hold
